The Mandalorian (TV series)

Not to change subject, but that actress, standing at the entrance of that "cabin"...isn't she one of the main Indian character in season 2 of "West World"?

I love Mara Jade and Thrawn but I'm not crazy about them shoehorning them into the new canon.

Keep the Mandalorian based on new characters I say. This way there will be no fan expectations and they can do new things with the story with no obligation to any previously existing material.

Do we know what the real weapon was?

Looks like the guys over in the Mandalorian reference thread have it narrowed down to a "Bergmann Prototype Model No1"

That said, the one from the Mandalorian is pretty clearly "inspired" by the No1, as oposed to built around one. They simply appear to have picked it as a guide, and just built their own prop from the ground up. so prop builds will just need to be from scratch, or based on a 3D model or something.

Like many of the whew Star Wars weapons, they don’t use real or airsoft base guns but scans from them which are modified and printed and then cast. So size and detail from the original can be way off.

Thanks! I found the info (for a change, my Google-Fu was strong!) about 4 hours after I asked! :)

The Bergmann 1896 ended up being used in the newer star wars films a few times as well. Whoever is creating blasters for star wars now really likes to kitbash airsoft guns, and at first I thought "Well, somebody must be making a Bergmann style airsoft gun" but I was never able to find one.

When I saw the Mandolorian blaster, I really had to smile. It goes along so well with the "blaster aesthetic" established in the first film.

Can you say where they were used or by who? I never noticed them.

I totally agree with this. The Later model Bergmann design _almost_ looks like a c96 Mauser, so it totally fits the ANH design aesthetic too. :)

Both the Guavian Death Gang, and Kanjiklub used them. They were buried in kitbashed blasters though, and very easy to miss. I had seen all the blasters before the film came out though, so I was kind of looking for it.

Personally I like what they did with the gun in The Mandalorian way, way more.

Wow, I never would have spotted those, but then I wasn't looking either. :) Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like someone is fan of Gun *****, saw the Bergman in a Forgotten Weapons video and liked it so much that they decided to base a lot of their blaster designs around it.:D

Notice the Fett Rocket on the left gauntlet, same as the homestead pic.
also the center chest detail looks hinged.

It appears that the tv shows on Disney+ will use the standard weekly schedule, so no binge model. Do we know for certain if season 1 of The Mandalorian falls under that rule? I haven't been able to find anything about what exactly is available on Nov. 1...the whole season or just the first episode?

If it's just the first episode, I hope the subsequent episodes are released on a Friday or the weekend, because Tuesdays are just awkward.
