The Mandalorian (TV series)

According to this, it seems like it'll be weekly releases, but I doubt all new episodes of all their shows will be released on the same day, so I guess we'll have to wait and see what the actual schedule looks like.

Yes, this has been confirmed that the D+ shows will be akin to network TV. Once a week. I'm kinda torn but it will allow a weeks worth of debates and scrutiny of costumes and visuals...

So, I don't mind weekly releases, even on streaming services. As long as they never do something asinine like Hulu, and make it where older seasons of a show stop being available to stream.

The nice thing about streaming for me, is that I can watch when I want, not that I can watch ALL of it at once.

There was a while, that I had two streaming shows, coming out weekly, and it was kind of nice. The initial showing of one I'd watch live ( GoT), and then Rick and Morty would generally be available to watch right after. It was a good, end of the weekend routine.

What a great thing to hear. In case you don’t read it, the article talks about Jon Favreau feeling a greater commitment to storytelling than to nostalgia. I don’t have any nostalgia for Star Wars—everything I like about it, I feel is justified. With a property like this, you have to take chances and care more about telling a story than making someone happy because of some reference to some obscure, unimportant bit of trivia from the source material. I’m very excited for the first season.

This is one of the main reasons (of many) I'm so excited for this show. I get the feeling it's going to push the franchise into new and fresh territories and directions. The galaxy is a big place with many different types of stories to explore. They need to branch out from the stories we're used to for it to last and keep things interesting.

I'm sorry but I absolutely love the scene in the preview of him lassoing the guy and then shooting the door shut to cut him in half.

Yeah totally. I think this gets to the heart of one of the main problems with Star Wars for us which no one really talks about.

Basically we're not little kids any more. We need grown up more adult type Star Wars movies for most guy fans to like it or think it's cool.

This is totally where I stand. Bring on more graphic and gritty western type stuff. Not space horses and pan sexual droid lovers with socio-political messages.

I think I might be dead inside. That trailer did nothing for me. :(

The first trailer looked more promising. I still can't believe they got Bill Burr in this! Hilarious!

I really love his costume. Just such a kick ass design!!

Loving what I see so far. I wish the whole series would drop at once. Not a fan of weekly releases. Netflix spoiled me.
