I think my brain exploded when I saw what Gideon had at the end!
I first thought "vibroblade", then he kept cutting...& cutting, & I'm sitting there thinking, "...no....NO... HOLY CRAP! IT IS!!!".

A minor complaint: I would have preferred it if it was Baby Yoda that healed Mando after that blast. It would have been a lot easier to swallow compared to a bacta spray to the side of the head from IG-11, as he was up and running from a potentially fatal injury super quick.

I was thinking the very same thing. I also could have done without the helmet removal. Did not need to see his face to appreciate the character.
WOW! What a finale! My mind was blown when Gideon emerged holding that special something at the end! I knew it'd come into play at some point because you can't tell a Mandalorian story without it, but I didn't expect that! Now I'm wondering what happened to Bo Katan since she was the last one to own it. The action was super fun and it had some great moments, like Dyn receiving his signet and jetpack!
Didn't have any issues with seeing his face. It was the most appropriate way of showing that he finally trusts IG-11. We were going to see his face eventually, so this was a natural moment for it. Loved the bit with the scouts at the beginning and their inability to hit anything haha.
Cannot wait for season 2....I'm going to fill that time by making and collecting every single thing from this show. I'm certified obsessed.

Glad Gideon is still alive,....don't know much about Dark Sabers,...but it looks cool

Hmmm.
I guess I don't get the reaction to the darksaber. That was always one of the parts of the clone wars that made the least sense to me; and I dislike it so much. To me it reeks of bad fanboy level fan fiction, even by star wars standards.
It's like the Corran Horn of light sabers. I'm so genuinely disappointed to see it crawl out of the cartoons in any way.
I know a lot of your are stoked about it... I'm just hoping it's a war trophy of his, and doesn't end up driving any plot, besides letting viewers know he's a dick.
Darksaber aside, it's still not my favorite episode (more of a statement on how much I've enjoyed some of the other episodes, rather than a statement about not enjoying this one), but still just fine for the gunslinger Western the show is set up to be.
I was hoping Gideon was gone, because I frankly don't want beeping box wielding bounty Hunters to keep crawling out of the woodwork. The forge master's instructions to watch the kid for, potentially, the rest of Mando's natural life, or to take him home, would have served good enough to keep him from going back to Samurai-7 planet and raising swamp krill for a living. I fear it'll be a constant deluge of bounty hunters again for season 2 (non-guild bounty hunters, of course
).
Though as long as the action stays good, and the acting remains fun, it'll still be a good show.

I think at the moment there is nothing cooler than watching an IG unit commanding a speeder bike full throttle kicking stormtrooper a**!!!!
I hope we get a good look at the live action hilt soon....because I'm gonna need one

After the show was over, I hit Etsy to see what was available, then it hit me that the design maybe was tweaked from TCW or REBELS, so I decided to wait. Although now, it occurs to me that with Filoni so entrenched into the DNA of this show, I'll be surprised if there's any huge changes at all. Maybe just rounding the corners a bit to make it a bit more comfortable to weild
I've not heard anything official, but I'm REALLY hoping for an 'Art Of' book for this show.
Thought this was pretty cool...

I just hope their Live Action version looks actually mechanical like OT ones rather than the pristine perfect bland PT ones
