I was just curious if your sign up the 12th if you get to watch the mando on the 12th
I would certainly think so. Mandalorian trailer lists the 12th as when the show comes out; and I haven't heard of a streaming service with any sort of "cooling off" period where you can't watch the same day you sign up or anything.
In the original EU it was common for people in the far Outer Rim to still be using Battledroids. As for the voice, they REALLY screwed up when they made the AOTC/ROTS Battledroids have that stupid high pitched voice. They turned them into comic relief.
Remember recently when there were hints of a stand alone Boba Fett movie, there was talk of a Fett doplleganger in ROTJ? I.e. the Fett that flew into the Sarlac wasn’t the ESB Fett at all; he had set up a decoy on Tatooine while he was off on another hunt? I wonder if there is the idea that The Mandalorian is the ACTUAL ESB Fett. It would be cool either way, but there seem to be hints in the trailers that it is him...

Where was that said?! I never heard that before and find it interesting
I've never really seen it either. I assume it was groundless speculation by people trying to figure out what time period the afore mentioned "boba Fett movie" might have been set in. I'm sure one of the hair brain theories hatched by the fett fanboys was that they would retcon it so that boba Fett didn't really get punked by Han or go into the sarlacc pit.
I still don't think that should be taken literally and all the convolutions to explain it from sources other than Dave Filoni are so much unnecessary brain-sweat to explain why the pacifist New Mandalorians might possibly disavow/disown a Mandalorian who followed their old warrior ways. *shrug*I have a hard time believing they would shoehorn Fett back into this. And I think it was stated in the Clone Wars that Jango was not Mandalorian at all but was just using their armour.
No.
Just no.
My largest problem with the prequels (and there were plenty), was that George took a vast universe and made it into a game of "6 degrees of C-3PO and R2D2".
Rey doesn't need to be Luke's kid.
Finn doesn't need to be Lando's kid.
The Mandalorian doesn't need to be Boba Fett.
The SW universe is HUGE and one of the many reasons I loved the old EU was because it was allowed to be HUGE. There were whole series that never touched on Luke, Leia or Han, and that was great!
Let Star Wars be huge, folks... it's a big, gorgeous universe with tons of room for new characters for us to love.

That said, I'm positive it's not Boba. Daniel Logan's grown up pretty well, and would suit reprising the role nicely, just as he has providing Boba's voice. They could easily have cast him, and didn't. Ergo.
