The Mandalorian (TV series)

Loved it! But it kinda highlighted how Din is not quite up to the Mando standard, he has a kickass armor, he can handle himself and has some neat tricks but Bo Katan and her squad were another level of proficiency there. I know we’ll get to see more of them, since it’s connected to the dark saber and all, but I hope it’s more than a little bit, it was interesting to get a bit more info on Din’s clan vs the rest of mandalore. Plus the action was just awesome.

When they fighting in the hallway I liked how distinct the fighting style was. Bounty hunter compared to soldier. Mando couldnt keep up with them. He reminded me of being a tank class in an RPG or something haha

New pics for the news set of Season III for the Mandalorian...on Tatooine ;)

Loved the new episode, although I can't help but feel the "guest stars" forgot they're acting in a live action show since some of their acting felt exaggerated and cartoony.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Episode 3 was a lot better as the second one.But I really hate how naive and stupid mado is:

"Look, we're feeding a sea monster,Mando"

And he looks ...and bäm...in the water with him.And the child also.REALLY???

Ok the new Mandos are great...also the action...but I think Din Djarin ...He looked a little weak.
Only the scene on the imperial ship was badass...where he turned all the fire on himself to throw the grenades.Epic.

It reminds me of episode 1 from the first season where he killed all the other bandits with the big blaster cannon. For me this is still the best episode.

Overall a good episode.

They're not new Mandos....Did you watch Clone Wars or Rebels?

Bo-Katan Kryze was originally part of the og Death Watch ran by Pre Vizla, against her sister, Duchess Satine Kryze on Mandalore. Satine was a pacifist and ran Mandalore that way, while Death Watch wanted to remain as old school Mandalorians; a giant warring tribe of religious zealots. Mandalore was taken over by Darth Maul after he took the dark saber from Pre Vizla, and Bo broke from the Death Watch ranks to start her own band of Mandos. Maul killed her sister for the throne, thus leaving Mandalore in turmoil. It wasn't long after that the Empire came in and took the planet for the Beskar.

Maul ended up fleeing, and in Rebels you see he has the Dark Saber that he took from Vizla, still. They eventually get it back from him and Sabine Wren (The Wren house is an old line of Mandalorians too), hands the saber over to Bo, crowning her the head of Mandalore.

So essentially, Bo is a long time veteran and has been in training since the prequel timeline. Like someone said above, they're the hardened military elite, while Mando was trained in a street-like, underground fighting regime.

Loved the chapter, but now I need to watch all mandalorian-related CW and Rebels episodes... any advice?

Edit: found a list online
CW S2E12 to 14, S3E5 and 6, S4E14, S5E14 to 16
Rebels: S2E8, S2E13, S3E7, S3E11, S3E15 and 16, S3E22, S4E1 and 2
I leave it here in case anyone, like me, has been waiting for a reason to start watching these shows...

Yeah...watch them all! LOL. No, but CW and Rebels really gives a level of depth to the entire SW franchise that I would have never expected from cartoons. It's absolutely brilliant to watch it weave into live action.

But if you want to watch the Mando-specific episodes with our girl from today:

Clone Wars:
Rebels:

Season 4 - "Heroes of Mandalore"

Nice!!!! I'll start with your list! Thanks!
But
Is the other one in Bo-Katan's team Sabine from Rebels or is it just another mandalorian? (On The Mandalorian Chapter 11 I mean)

That's the wrestler Sasha Banks! Everyone thought she was going to be Sabine, but no. Sabine is technically Southern Asian/Indian. If she's with anyone, it's Ashoka.

You'll see why at the end of Rebels.

Sasha was credited as 'Koska Reeves'. So this is someone new under Bo's Nite Owl group.

Thanks for the fast update.I´m not really a fan of the SW cartoons because I don´t like the style how they are painted.

If you can get past that, they increase the lore and improve the sequels a million times over. The first season or 2 of CW is a bit of a slog, but it really starts to pick up later on. And the last season is *chefs kiss*.

For me, Rebels opened up a completely different avenue of SW I never knew existed. It really gave depth and branched out in an unusual way. I've never looked at SW the same after the last few seasons of Rebels.

I haven't seen it yet but I can say that at the very least Favreau and Filoni get how to balance making a character bad ass but also vulnerable, something others who have dabbled in the SW sandbox recently seem to be incapable of understanding. I look forward to seeing this new episode.

I have not watched CW or Rebels but it's amazing to me how many fans who have held off or ignored them are giving them a shot because of the Mandalorian. Who knows, maybe I'll end up being one of them too! It just proves to me yet again that the claim that some fans who are often told they aren't open to new ideas is just bogus. It just goes to show that quality story telling will compel fans to get back on board, even after years out of the game.

Fun enough episode, and the other Mandalorians work as a foil to Din more than as characters. I really don’t think they challenged his beliefs enough, to be honest. I can see everyone’s peeing their pants on here because they saw a character they recognized, but eh. She was by far the weakest part of the episode. Just a walking cartoon, as were the Imperials in the cargo bay. I mean, am I really the only one that thought she was kind of…a d**k? She acts all high and mighty, calling “the Watch” a group of zealots, but she’s changing the terms of the deal, doesn’t really want to help Mando without securing a favor first, is totally obsessed with that darksaber. I mean, I guess when you don’t really analyze a character beyond “she looks like the character and has the name of the character”, you’re bound to get starry-eyed, even though she came across as distinctly unhelpful and more than a little obsessed to me. Other than that, loved the docks and dock workers, thought the action was pretty good. These are starting to get a little predictable though. Every person Mando runs into just has another favor to ask of him. Bryce Dallas Howard still isn’t great at directing actors but this was definitely an improvement over that awful village episode from last season.

You should really watch them. They are some of the best Star Wars content. Don't judge but Rebels might just be better then the OT..... I know *gasp*, sacrilege! But it is good.
