The Lone Ranger (2013)

So, the bird looks to be moving in that top picture. Maybe that's in the spirit world or something.

I'm very curious about this one. I still think that bird was a terrible choice.

Just saw the trailer for The Lone Ranger and it looks very action packed!!! I like the look and feel of this movie! It should be good!!!

Looks to me too green-hornet-esque. Might as well have cast seth rogan in it....i mean fozzie bear. Shouldn't this film have been titled TONTO instead of The Lone Ranger. We shall see I guess, but first impression wasn't good enough for me.

Boom...boom...in 2013...boom...boom...from Jerry Bruckheimer...boom...boom...a movie called The Lone Ranger...boom boom...about a guy named Tonto...boom...boom...

Looks pretty generic and overblown. I guess I just like The Lone Ranger as a simple western with a dude riding into town and helping people.

To the rental list it goes. Hi yo Silver and awayyyyyyy

Yeah, I think we're dealing with another convoluted origin story. I'm betting he doesn't even don the mask until the third act of the movie.

The thrown bullet. Do you reckon he'll catch it in slow-mo and put it in the gun to kill the final bad guy, or actually catch it IN the gun and kill the final bad guy?

I can see them doing a big slow-mo arc swinging the empty gun with the cylinder out, and the tossed bullet going in there, as it's moving. I hate it, but I can see it.

I can't wait to see Tonto and some dude in a cowboy hat! Because that's exactly how that trailer marketed it as.

Even the poster says Tonto. It has his bird hat, and well . . . some bird poop too. Hope that's not the design team making a statement the studio didn't get.

The only thing this movie seems to be missing, is tim burton. Probably in the credits somewhere.

Actually I had to double check the director because as soon as I saw Helena Bonham Carter, I thought it was done by Tim burton

Why's he called The Lone Ranger if he hangs out with Tonto all the time?

I know this was supposed to be clever but that question comes up a lot. It's supposed to mean "working without other Rangers", as in he could be riding in a group with an indian, a train engineer, a chef and a blacksmith, but seeing as how he is the only Ranger in the group he would still be the Lone Ranger.
I heard this from Clayton Moore's own lips when I asked him the same question when I was little. :)

Well yes it was supposed to be clever. :lol

It was also a genuine question and I was wondering if they ever brought it up in any of the past incarnations. I thought maybe he was part of a group of Rangers in the past and he was the last one or something of that nature.

Think I said this earlier but imagine POTC, as a western. Its the same people, same scale, same humor... And to answer the "mask" question, Tonto has one too, its face paint.
