The 89 MattMobile Build Thread.

Long pauses suck, ESPECIALLY when they are not self inflicted. Still, a good cautionary tale that hopefully other builders can benefit from.

Matt- I am in your same shoes!! Fellow IT professional working on a KITT build. Your Mattmobile is coming along smooothly!! You are doing all the right things. I am currently working on some vids on my progress which I will share with the community.

I am uploading a new episode right now. This one was a real riot to make, and has an awesome set of book ends. I think this may have raised the bar on my own videos!

Now you have the kit, you might aswell do the welding yourself ;)
Thats a good quality Mig you got there aswell (y)thumbsup:thumbsup the last Lincoln Electric I used was a lovely welder.

Good to know, and I appreciate the support!! :) I'm actually pretty stoked to finally have a welder in the shop! It sort of opens the doors to ALL kinds of madness! Bo is going to come by tomorrow and get some preliminary work done on the stretch, and he's totally down for doing an interview, and letting me film the entire process. Might turn out to be pretty educational!
