YAY! Another UK MEMBER! haha im buying the Colt 1911A1 that i got advised to get. Have also got to spray paint that. It's also hard for me to buy it cause i turn 17 this summer and i have to be 18 to buy the gun. The holster im currently looking at this one:

Flyye 1000D Shoulder Pistol Holster w/Mag Pouch Coyote Brown [AS2264] - $21.60 : Airsoft-Club.com, Online Shop for Airsoft Parts & Tactical Gears

I can't find anything really close to baby doll's holster so please if you would link me to one more similar to that one. Thanks :)

Im hopefully starting the gun next week as an airsofting project with my boyfriend soooo! haha first time spray painting! :D

Anyone got any idea on Blondie's shoes or main leotard? I'm trying to figure out what to make them out of? Actually, I'd also like to know about her gun, I haven't been able to find like a nerf gun or something that's close enough to it, I'm getting a tomahawk with it, but I really want the gun too.

Does anybody know what policys conventions normally have with regard to guns/swords? :) xx

As said, it varies. Usually though, here in the States, they might make you have a "tag" on your gun (a colored zip-tie) that they'll give you after security looks at it. Bladed stuff, if its real, has to be peace-tied (fastened down so it can't be drawn). Fake stuff (wood/plastic) can usually be carried openly, but with a tag.

And of course number 1 rule - common sense.

As stated, it varies. My two cents is to definently check the con policy. The convention I got from did not allow prop replica guns AT ALL unless they were obviously fake. I didn't even bother taking the 1911 since staff at that con is very strict.

My katana is a wooden bokken though. Most cons allow those.

If anyone is interested in putting together an Amber costume, I am selling the materials I gathered to make one for my daughter, who has since changed her mind. Please check the Junkyard for pics and description.

Hi all! I've actually been reading this thread for quite some time - the discussions have been awesome and super helpful. I'm working on an Amber and I thought I'd share my progress.

I went the route of getting a high altitude suit and modifying it. It takes time to rip everything off at the seams, but so far so good! I was very lucky as the suit I got almost fit me perfectly

The most difficult part for me will be making the leather shoulder holster and straps since I've only ever worked with leather once in my life. Luckily, the local Tandy Leather have been super helpful. :) We'll see how that goes. O_O

I love seeing everyone else's progress and costumes. :)
