BABY DOLLS - what patterns did you use, if any, for your costume? I might not get this costume done by movie time, but I will certainly get it done before the convention I'm attending in April.

ALSO, I found someone on etsy selling Baby Doll's gun charms. I dont know if she posts here or if the link has already been posted, but here it is: Little Creations by The Bird & The Bee

BTW, please take a look at this link, there're 45 photos in hd of the movie. A lot of them never seen before. I'll do some of the other babydoll's costumes, fer sure. They're just too gorgeous for my brain. I'd wear them everyday. Specially the cabaret one (?)

hey guys! I haven't posted since like the first page. i'm still going to dress up as blondie, but probably just for halloween unless i ever find a con near me.. which is doubtful. but i decided to buy the crappy rubies costume and modify it because i am a total beginner. i am also going to probably get the axe when they release it, and my hair is black but not quite long enough.

i am actually striving for 100% accuracy even though it's probably going to be nowhere near, so does anyone have a pair of shoes/an idea for the shoes they're using for their Blondie costume? and since i want to go 100% and i have blue eyes, anyone else doing brown contacts like i plan to?

as for makeup... i used to be a cosmo student so i could definitely help for all the girls, but i know the makeup artist from the movie has a blog and answers questions. just thought id throw that out there. i also own the book and a high definition scanner and can scan any page you guys might need.

I know this thread seems to me more about the woman's costumes (which I have no problem with!) but has anyone seen any good reference shots of the soldiers, (both good and bad guys), the Bunny Mech and especially the giant Samurai?

It's sold out at most stores and Amazon (and selling used for more than double cover price there used) but it looks like barnesandnoble.com has it for $20.00

The one on display at the Arclight is not the hero or stunt, which was made of rubber. According to the armorer this appears to be an altered Airsoft, but he doesn't recall one being used in the production, although he dealt with the two heros and was aware of the rubber stunt.

A bit more info, the hero 1911 did not come from the factory with the nickel finish, they sent it out for the refinish and to rework the grip to better fit the actress's small hands.

I wonder which one of these 1911s is the hero (or are they both)?



^THIS^ one has more of a bright (nickel?) finish, as well as a flat mainspring housing (i.e., the back of the handle directly above where the trinkets are hanging)...



Where ^THIS^ one has more of a brushed (stainless steel?) finish with a more "traditional" curved mainspring housing.

Wow, those are very awesome pictures, thanks for posting them Cereza. Interesting that they didn't include Sweet Pea's shoulder pauldron, or weapon harness, but that does give us a clearer view of the construction. Lots of great details, I've saved them all off, hehe.

And I guess this does answer the question about Rocket's boots -- definitely zippers up the back, and very visible ones too. No zippers on Sweet Pea's boots, but I'd still be tempted to hide one along the inside. Hmmm...
