Update.

I'm lining up kit parts in the indentations on the top. I'm going to make a separate box that goes in there with all the parts inside.

Thanks! By the way, I just found two parts that I couldn't find before, that's pretty exciting for me, I'm terrible at tracking down kit parts. :lol

Well, the problem with the later ST ships is that they relied on a entirely different set of donor kits. To me, those look like some sort of Japanese robot/spaceship type kit as opposed to the usual F-1 car, German tank, etc. kits that were used in the past.

And though Greg Jein didn't build the Defiant, he did relay a little bit of trivia that might come in handy down the line. Because they were so overused, he never populated his models with parts from the Leopold/Anzio Annie or the Karl Morser kits. He tried to find different detail parts to use. Come to think of it, I never saw any of those kits during my (relatively brief) tenure there......

Not sure if Tony Meininger had the same view.

The parts that look like hedge trimmer teeth, I want to say come from one of the Junkers Pro Modeler's kits. They appear to be the under wing antenna. I would think They just layed them on some cut plastic, or something like that?

She looks beautiful Rel. Definaly one of my favs from Trek.

Oh, and the blocks with the inset spheres are also used on the Stargazer. Those are from Valkerie Robotech kits.

You're right! I also recognize the grills on the Stargazer that were also used on the Defiant. Do you know which kit it is?
