Starship project

Hand cut? Thats REALLY impressive. I have difficulty cutting out styrene PADDs which are MUCH larger than those tiny, intricate parts. Superb job.

What a thrill it is to see the whole thing coming together.. I continue to be impressed.

How long will it be all assembled? From the comparison to the toy, it looks somewhere around 30".

Thank you kindly.

I got them all nice and flush with a perfect seam. I took them off and now I'll start the rest of the detailing.

Rel,

That is absolutely insane - and quick too...

How are you planning to support the nacelles in the kit? Any internal structure planned?

-Gary

I plan on casting brass tubes inside the pylons that will attach to the internal frame in the secondary hull. Wiring for the nacelles will run through the tubes as well.

GOOD LORD. You are doing a wonderful job on this enterprise. If you want I will do your vinyl stencils for you. When your ready just go to www.eriedesign.com and email me from there if you want. AWSOME work. Can't wait for the finish.

Thanks. The pylons are finally finished. Now I'll be working on the part that connects them to the nacelle, that shouldn't take more than a day or two. Then I'll start on the nacelle itself.

REL,
You going to Wonderfest this year??? Would love to see this there, regardless if it's ready.

-Sean

I'm sure going to try. My plans seem to change daily, one day I'm going the next I'm not, I'll know the night before the show for sure. lol.

Should I leave this part on the nacelle as a seperate cast or make it part of the nacelle? I noticed on the ILM studio model that it looks to be a seperate piece. I'm curious as to how some of you would handle it.
