The hell is a Tie Whisper??
I get Tie Fighter, Bomber, Interceptor, Advanced, Striker, hell even those goofy looking Defender's... but what is "Whisper" supposed to denote? I'd think maybe it was a silent running "Stealth" Tie which tbh might be kinda neat to see, but we already saw in the trailer the thing makes more of a racket than my neighbors pimped out Dodge Ram. Unless that was just added sound effect for the teasers

For one, it sure doesn't sound like he fine with with 8 in that article. Sounds like he's being diplomatic
Two, he's the guy who films multiple scenes and multiple endings so even the actors don't know what the outcome of things are. He's got no issue lying to you to preserve the actual story.
Three, a bit unrelated, but they need to STOP with this bring the skywalker saga to a close. They've not added to it in any way other than trashing luke in 8. There's nothing really to end, and they keep throwing that out there but 7 and 8 haven't done @%$( with the skywalker legacy. It's not even been a footnote. From a marketing standpoint, LET IT GO.

I disagree. The whole saga is about one messed up family and their effect on the galaxy. It's the story of a virgin born prophesied 'Chosen One', his children, and now his grandchild.
Man life perspective must be a factor in a lot of people’s thoughts on Luke
I loved Luke in 8... but then I personally felt a connection to someone who feels they screwed up, let a bunch of people down and ended up a curmudgeon who just wants to be left alone.
I know there’s much more to it than that... but I’m also a big believer in “Happy Endings are just stories that haven’t finished yet” - ROTJ
I’m a rarity in nerd circles, but I like 66% of TLJ
Still not super excited about 9... just looking forward to more Rey and Kylo.
I mean... with JOKER, Jo Jo Rabbit, *cough* Addams Family *cough* (go see it I need Addams 2 for rent) I got movies in way more excited about.

There will always be something to end so long as there’s money to be made. And Disney is anything but imaginative.. One of the most confusing things for me about this new saga however is Why must we tear down the achievements and character arcs of the characters in the OT in order to try to create ones for new characters in the ST?
Seriously name one real thing of consequence or achievement in the OT that hasn’t effectively been undone for things in the ST to happen?
I mean ******, even Palpatines back...

It's just exacerbating the mistake of retconning the OT to be the story of vader (as retconned by george).
It isn't and never was. It was the story of luke.
The PT wasn't exactly the story of Anakin either, you could argue just as much it was the story of Obi-Wan.
The ST hasn't been about Kylo/Ben either. Not really. It's main focus has been Rey.
But if you're trying to tie the whole thing together as being the skywalker saga, you literally do it on screen, and they have not. Due to a couple scenes we know Kylo workships Vader. Kylo has been in it, but they have not been focusing on the family aspect at all. That spin of the story of a family messing up the galaxy has come from fans. The OT very specifically tied things to family in ESB and ROTJ. The ST hasn't. The ONLY thing they've tied family wise is making it clear that Ben/Kylo is the son of Leia/han. If you hadn't seen 4-6, i'm not sure they've even stated Luke/Leia are brother and sister.
if the whole thing is really about family, you make a clear concerted effort to say so and they haven't. It was LFL that said before 7 this was going to tie all 9 together, which wasn't needed or asked for. But, if you're going to do it, doing from the get go. You can't ignore it in 7 and 8 and they shove in in 9 and try and pretend it was the plan all along.
Nah, you don't have to do all that. Just show a little montage of the previous movies in the beginning of your trailer and you're all set
