Episode 4 Movie GIF by Star Wars

I actually thought that the last episode of Doctor Who was pretty good.

I was done after BOOM. Guys yelling at each other on a battlefield not wanting to be detected?!?! Walking tall.

Then I heard the Doctor wasnt even around for the next episode. Not even an attendance trophy

I seriously don’t get the backlash over this guy that confused Anakin for Luke..

The internet is dragging this guy through the coals..

Come hang out with me for a day, I have a tendency of calling you Chris or Scott.. in my head I’m calling you by name, but my mouth says different

Simple mistake, and they are hanging this guy… it’s going to get to the point this Star Wars bullying is going to force actors to say “fECk it, I’m not touching this franchise”

I’m sorry.. I just don’t like bullies

Not to beat this into the ground but...allow me to beat this into the ground:p

I'll first say I don't think it's necessary for any actor to be a fan of franchise X to give a good performance in franchise X. I agree with AnubisGuard . You could even argue it works better as your actors won't have any inherent bias and then it falls on the shoulders of the director to ensure their performance is good. Should they research their roles if possible? Absolutely.

Where this actor messed up is he gave the impression that he had an understanding of Star Wars by saying there is "no good or evil" in it, which is just patently false. The Anakin/Luke flub wouldn't be a big deal if he didn't claim to be a fan, but he did and it's hard to believe a fan would make a flub like that. I find it more concerning that he thinks Luke blowing up the Death Star with millions of people on it is somehow morally questionable. That would be like saying all WWII pilots who torpedoed battleships weren't totally in the right because they killed the galley cooks. It's just a dumb take to be honest. But, he's not the writer or director. He's a puppet and they pull the strings so to speak.

Good or bad is a debate for another even longer thread. Being from a third world country, agnostic and pragmatic i sometimes question the morale of those who claim to be good or evil.

However, I fully support Luke busting the "First" Deathstar.

“May ‘The Thread’ be with you…”

Apparently from the already infamous “Episode 3” that is getting a lot of attention from early reviewers…

Yeah, I saw that and IMMEDIATELY thought "dude said wrong name. I get what he means tho", and didn't think about it a moment longer... then find out he's being dragged?!?!

People need to chill.

Also, there is ZERO chance that Harrison Ford could answer a single question from a Kid's Star Wars O.T. trivia book.

It's an interesting concept to explore but as it relates to Star Wars, we have to remember that Star Wars was a throwback to the classic pulp serials and old westerns which defined a clear line between good and evil. Part of the popularity and success of Star Wars was that it was released at a time when Hollywood took a more cynical approach to storytelling with heroes being replaced by antiheroes: Man With No Name, Popeye Doyle, Michael Corleone, etc. Star Wars felt like a breath of fresh air that the world sorely needed. To come in 45 years after the fact and try to redefine the core themes of Star Wars is not a winning strategy.

I think a one-off story exploring a rogue Jedi Knight who walks the line between the light and the dark would be interesting. I don't think it's wise though to start painting the Jedi, Sith, Rebels, Empire as all being morally ambiguous.

Star Wars is the one with Spock, right?

No. It's Captain Gandalf.

It really sucks he wasn't a fan of Star Wars, when he made the first movie. Not sure how he acted in the film without that knowledge.

She strapped herself on to a cargo container for the crash, but woke up on the floor?

Not a fan of how they pronounce Jedi.

He’s not a fan now… he wasn’t a fan when he did the last two he was in… and if you said “can you believe a guy accidentally said anakin instead of Luke?”, he’d say “who instead of what?”

Ask Bill Burr who blew up the second Death Star. He’d call you a nerd and walk away.

Who cares if an actor flubbed. Leave him alone.

Didn’t George have to be told Luke lost his saber in Empire?

It’s all dumb

Why am in in this thread!?!?
