Given the amazingly intricate world building set-up this series had, they could easily do a 3 season arc -- provided they take the material seriously. It's really the only "for kids but enjoyable for adults" series Krofft did.

Make no mistake - the Kroffts' are listed as creators, but it's David Gerrold who truly created The Land of the Lost. The Kroffts had a concept and some starting points, but Gerrold wrote the show bible, fully mapped out the intricate world building, how the Land operated, time & dimension travel etc as well as its history, builders, characters and layout.

But it's Netflix so they'll end season 1 on a cliffhanger, then cancel it.

Exactly. I was fascinated by those crystal control panels and all the strange manipulations they could do.
The potential for this is very rich for quality sci fi and family friendly. Dinos never get old either.
