I don't know what it is, but for how detailed the sets are they feel detailed in a theme park kind of way, rather than a TV set or reality kind of way. Something about the walls and floors and dressing reminds me of stuff like the queue for the Indiana Jones ride and so forth.
There was something about it I couldn't quite put my finger on and you just hit the nail on the head! I had an epiphany moment when I read this lol. It just seems very artificial.

It also seemed to be shot in a lower grade film. When I paused it (to grab a snack) the picture was grainy, not sharp. I took it as an intentional direction given the timeframe.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Perhaps posts should be directed at content or anything related to that content instead of taking personal jabs at people on here within the RPF community. Everybody can have an opinion and share it without taking it so personally that they have to then go and make personal insults, whether directly or passive aggressively. We all, including myself, should take pause before we post, and double check to make sure we aren't making it personal to another member. If i have to openly insult you just because you like the Acolyte, then i have bigger problems to worry about. If you have to openly insult me because i have an opinion on Disney then you have bigger problems to worry about. The biggest issue amongst all of us, including myself, is "pride". May we all learn to swallow it. We all fail to love properly at times. I'm guilty as charged. Obviously, this boot can only be worn if it fits. I just felt the need to post as a friendly reminder, not to chide like i have some authority or something...i'm just one of you all.

CopperRevan,

I agree with you wholeheartedly; that said, I couldn't help but see your post as the "star wars scroll", so (please don't kill me!):

That's hysterical!!! I'm still trying to figure out how to say more in fewer words...it's like a curse..lol. I think that came from High School when i was assigned an English Essay that had to have a set amount of pages. "Oh you want 10 pages? I can do that"

After seeing the notice for free tickets for the screenings, I had ZERO hope (see what I did there) for this show. I don't do High Republic era stuff, have basically ignored it at this point. I'm not a big fan of jedi based stuff either to be fair. With that said, I sat back with an open mind and watched the first two episodes last night. I enjoyed them as general entertainment. It felt like a martial arts movie with lightsabers insterad of swords mixed with a mystery, but Star Wars-ish. I had no compulsion to want to immediately rewatch the episodes like I did with Mandalorian or Andor, even Obi Wan. Time will tell if it stays entertaining.
