I seriously don’t get the backlash over this guy that confused Anakin for Luke..

The internet is dragging this guy through the coals..

Come hang out with me for a day, I have a tendency of calling you Chris or Scott.. in my head I’m calling you by name, but my mouth says different

Simple mistake, and they are hanging this guy… it’s going to get to the point this Star Wars bullying is going to force actors to say “fECk it, I’m not touching this franchise”

I’m sorry.. I just don’t like bullies

You are missing a critical point.

The show is advertized as part of the Star Wars franchise.A franchise with well-established fans.

That's the point of putting it in a franchise such as StarWars vs making it into its own, unique story, in its own unique universe.

It wouldn't sell if they weren't placing it in Star Wars.

Fans from day one smelled the DEI turd, saw through Leslye's poor acting, and Disney denied it, claiming fans were over-reacting to a non-existent issue.

deny deny deny until it is too late, then blame the fans.

Next, the actors and the show's creator claimed they were Star Wars fans only to prove they were lying.

Instead of being embarassed, they are defended!?!?!

This means the fans were right, and the liars deserve to be called out.

Butninstead it is seen as "bullying" ?!?!?

That's not what bullying means. A liar trying push their lie AFTER BEING CAUGHT...now THAT is bullying.

It isn't bullying when you are caught lying, and treated as untrustworthy, it is a well-earned/deserved consequence.

But liars dont like being called liars, and they have droves of people who are willing to defend them no matter how obvious their deception. Remember, Leslye has already said it is okay to lie to get what you want.

IF someone intentiinally lies to you and you catch them lying, YOU arn't bullying them by calling it out.

Its like.people kniw "bullying" is something bad, but they don't know the actual definition of the word.

This moral juijistu where the person who was right is now the bad guy for seeing through the lie, while the person who lies is defended is becoming a broken record in this world...it is just insane!

It reminds me of the person who insist there is "no right or wrong," but you are WRONG if you disagree. It is cognitive dissonance.

The people trying avoid the truth are the problem.

if you are tired of it, stop rewarding or defending the liars. liars aren't going to stop lying when the have droves of co-dependent defenders.

What truly is miserable is that someone asked "why does this happen?" and when someone is courteous enough to provide a valid answer, you do EXACTLY what was predicted.

And yes, that is why Dr Who is tanking as well.

An actor not knowing the details of franchise X doesn't matter. They're actors. They act. They don't write or direct or make decisions. The guy could have never seen Star Wars and be totally uninterested in it and I wouldn't care.

The entitlement of this kind of thing is astonishing. Do people demand Jason Momoa be versed on the lore of The Fast and the Furious lest he disrespect the familia? Does Bradley Cooper need to be a comic book fan to deserve to star in Marvelslop #563?

The worst thing companies ever did, marking wise was – well, actually, the worst thing was to insult and denigrate potential audience based on political opinions or demographics. That's far and away the dumbest, most asinine thing.

But the second dumbest decision was deciding to pretend everyone who works on nerd franchises is some superfan with a deep love of the lore. It's just dumb pandering, and it feeds the worst obsessions of the fanbase while setting up unrealistic expectations. And then you get meltdowns like this when somebody slips up. I hate it all.

Pretending to be a fan when you aren't and getting caught, days before the release of your show is pretty bad.

I can excuse that, but Leslye's "Star Wars saved my life," then she cant think of a favorite Star Wars movie, burned her credibility.

And she should know better given her past.

I mean really? It saved HER LIFE?

So she wouldnt be alive without Star Wars, but cant think of a movie she likes?!?!

She goes from INTENSE to deer in headlights

I have better things to do with my time than support that

then don't.

then don't.

Once again, you wonder why someone wouldnt watch it, they tell you, and then you do what was predicted.

And when the show bombs, you will blame the same folks you told not to watch. ;)

Waiting for the FREE TICKETS that were offered to get figured into the viewing numbers.

Disney already revised their expectations so that they can simultaneously say fans who were told not to watch were the problem, while claiming it was a success.

Telling the truth is scorned by those embracing the lies and the hype

Can't wait to watch it.
I've seen a few good reviews for it thus far. But for every good one, I've also seen a tepid one. The previews give me a fan film vibe, and I hope I'm wrong on that account.

I mean, I totally agree. It's flat out hypocritical to pretend to be something or feel a certain way, JUST to get people to buy your product, or watch your product, or support your product. It's like the agenda is blatantly clear, but the what's said in public is the exact opposite, & the whole charade is just to mask intentions & make those that disagree with it seem villainous & the originators come across as misunderstood victims.

LOL

Like everyone I've heard over the last few years who've bemoaned the product's decline & REPEATEDLY stated that SW is dead, it died in the 80's, & their lives are so fulfilled & meaningful, they have so much more to do that waste their time on the hour or so of inferiority that others might possibly enjoy...

but not so full they won't spend their time bitching about something they haven't seen.

I swear, one of the most entertaining parts of my day is reading posts here & then imagining the poster looking around going

"RIGHT?

RIGHT?

GUYS?

RIGHT?

I MEAN... WHO'S WITH ME?

YEAH!"

I dont know. You see actors all the time, get a role, and do research. Shadowing cops, doctors, etc. Similarly, no one is saying momoa needed to watch all ff flicks. But, he should have watched a couple as research. As for sw, if you dont know you are going to be asked about sw, then your naive and deserve to get busted. Does that mean you cant do a good job? Not at all. Howecer it will prejudice people against you if it gets put out there. Im no comica s guy, but if i got hired to play a character in the mcu, first thing im asking is what comics should i read to or cartoons fo watch to get familiar with my character. Going in completely cold is asking cor trouble.

It's clickbait, and that is all. The youtubers are always on high alert or anything positive or negative for clickbait.

Be mindful, Disney’s already doing their RT manipulations.

Yup! Social media was supersaturated this weekend with "blame the fans" propaganda..

I Wonder if they are going to try the same tactic like with Dr Who, where the newly released episode is the greatest thing evah, until the next episode comes out, then they will state the last episode wasnt bad but, " Oh My Goodness! You HAVE to watch this latest episode."

Lather...rinse..repeat.

I actually thought that the last episode of Doctor Who was pretty good.
