Star Trek related - I may get slammed for this..

I didn't read the comics, but I had heard about this through the net (the Narada had Borg technology) long after I first saw the film.

(I know there only so much exposition that can be crammed into a film without it creating the feeling of spoon feeding the audience), but I really wish this had been explained in the film somehow; it would have made this badass "mining ship" a little easier to swallow.

Definitely, because without it the Narada seems to be a bit much for a simple mining ship. But Borg tech doesn't quite explain the interior design of the Narasda with all of the catwalks with no rails and all. It's not like Borg ships were ever built with nothing but a whole bunch of catwalks on the inside of them.
