So Cal Prop Party!! PICS START ON PAGE 33!!!!

Alright, got my pics up. I want to apologize in advance for the poor quality of some of the pics. I am ok with taking pics in a studio setting but stink at walk-around... a lot of the pics have very shallow DOF and in a number you can see the lens shadow. Still, I hope this also gives you an idea of what was at the party. I apologize as well for the photos that aren't titled... there are a lot of props that I just don't know.

Great pictures Art! Thanks again to everyone who helped set this up, especially Brad. It was great putting faces to the screen names and chatting with everyone. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one!

Hey Brad! How about we start up a Significant Others / Wives / Children Support Group so while the RPF men folk / RPF women folk are in the room carousing, causing mayhem the significant others / wives / children can hang out together in the mall or ride the ferris wheel or carousel, etc.

My wifey and kids were interested but they blazed through the room in less than 15 minutes. After that it was hang out at the mall and wait for daddy to finish.

Just something to think about for those that drive more than 30 miles and for significant others / wives / children to make friends and complain about us prop people!

we did last year. It was called Matt Munson....

however, since Matt is "off the market" now...there wasnt support this year unfortunately

Art, what were you shooting on? I want your camera! Pics look great!

Trust me, you don't want my camera... that was its last shoot. It is a Canon Rebel (yeah, the original). It does have nice glass on it, but the camera never recovered from a shoot we did at the Imperial Dunes in Yuma during a sandstorm. I have a 5DII on order and hopefully it will be here in time for Comic Con so I can try to get some good ref shots of whatever is at the show!

This shoot was what killed my camera. Even after two professional cleanings, sand still falls out of cracks onto the CMOS. Word of advice (in case it wasn't already painfully obvious to everyone but me); don't take your unsealed camera into a sandstorm...

Dido Art

My roommate films professional off road races and he seals his camera pretty good and its still messed up with dust, even after cleanings and the sealants.

It sounds like it was a great time had by everyone. I wished I could have gone. I had lots of time (being out of work and all) but couldn't afford it. Maybe I'll win the lottery, then I can attend next year:rolleyes.

Man this looked like fun. I'd be leaving my girlfriend at home as I doubt she'd be into this even as a cosplayer.
