So Cal Prop Party!! PICS START ON PAGE 33!!!!

Wow... now THAT is how you have a prop party. Hell I would have come down had I known it was going to be all formal and all.

So much cool stuff, I am jealous!!

Dayum close!

"Just keep going and maybe they won't realize just how excrutiatingly boring you're being...!"

Hahahaah oh please! Whether you're staring at a death star wondering if the black dot is to black or not is no different then me standing in a fabric store with 15 roles of ribbon in front of me in different shades of black wondering why none of them are perfect.

Props or costume the concept is the same....it's all in the detail......therefore what you were doing was immensely fascinating! How could it not be, your death star is brilliant.

(I feel like that last statement might possibly give me nothing but grief in the future but I'll leave it) :lol

"Fangirls"!?!?!?!?

Sorry but those three women are not that.

All make fantastic stuff and deserve way more respect than being called "fangirls".

Oh brother!

Disclaimer: The wives, girlfriends, and significant others (don't want to scare away MM with Laam) are merely playing fangirls for the sake of this image and caption contest.

They are truly sister at arms when it comes to costuming, props, model making, movies, and off topic discussions!:lol

:lol That definitely sounds like you.......I can totally imagine you saying that....

I was thinking more along the lines of "now, I know how Brad feels playing with one big ball".

or

"see ladies, according to the "insert book name", this is the most accurate way to create windows on a studio scale death star. Hmmm, this window isn't accurate enough. I need to redo it".

Be the guy that puts it on.

I always find it funny when members say they wish they had one in their state or feel bummed out that they dont have one in their area. Jeez people show initiative. It isnt hard to start your own thread saying "Prop Party in MNHGJBHGHFJH"

The rpf did not coordinate this prop party. They did lend a helping hand, but Brad showed initiative among other members to get the party going....

There you go. Was that so hard?

Now if you could just apologize to Mike Senna.

I might just try to do that when I get more established. Definitely wasn't complaining, more of a wishful thinking kind of thing. The effort that everybody put into this was extraordinary and when the time does come I would hope to have it come off half as good as So-Cal's did!!!!!!!!!!

It doesnt hurt to start an interest thread asking for fellow members to help coordinate one.....it is always worth a try...even if you are a new member, it only takes one person to make a difference or in this case a prop party....

Just understand that you are in the same position I was last year. We hadn't had a prop party in about 4 years and I kept wanting someone to host one but no one stepped up, so I did.

Last years was half as good as this years and next years will be twice as good as this years! It is like the snowball effect.

Like ER said, start an interest thread. You should scout the possible places to such an event (Hotels, restaurants with banquet rooms, etc).

I know there are enough of us in PA to pull one off plus with parts of the other states near PA. I'd try it but I can't organize a picnic lol

I think that is the next hurdle. D&B is perfect is many ways (striking distance for both LA and SD). But this year I think we reached Max Q. To go bigger or better may require a bigger place.

Around here it wouldn't be too hard. We have a lot of halls that can be rented depending on size. Some of them are kinda small, we have one right across the road from us that would be great for a small prop party.
