Thanks guys. It looks like the machinist didn't fully update the cnc programing for the grenade section with the newest design (the one I made after the prototype came back showing the bottom ring section was too wide). He moved the set screw, but didn't adjust the lathe profile. So, I've got a box of grenade sections here where the lathe profile matches the prototype and not the final design.

I’ve got no problem waiting! Also, if you end up keeping the wrong grenades I’d totally buy one for a custom saber.

They told me that they will be remaking the parts and should have the new ones ready by the end of the month

this is EXCELLENT news!! i was sick to my stomach, thinking about them screwing you over like the other shop. so glad they are willing to fix this. and a month away?! thats nothing compared to other project runs. i have no problem waiting how ever long it takes. cant thank you enough for all the enough put into this

I didn't really mean it as a burn but whatever. They make some decent stuff but it's not for people that care about accuracy.

I like korbanth stuff and have a few of his hilts but I think 95% accuracy is maybe being generous

Hey @Anakin Starkiller ! Did they make that 3rd up V-Groove (the deep one) too deep, or did they make the interior section too wide? It looks like it got really thin there.

If they're charging you for the incorrect ones, I'd either see if they can whittle off that 0.1" so that the pieces will be closer to spec so that you could sell them all to Seth , or maybe as 'seconds' or something. Otherwise the scrapyard idea would be one way to recoup some of the cost as aluminum does fetch good money there.

How'd the rest of the parts look? Did the shop put a nice finish on everything? It'd be fun to see a teaser pic or two if you have any. Thanks for all your efforts so far, I imagine it's quite an undertaking. Don't stress out too much, we're almost there! Keep Calm and Jedi On!

My whole reason for signing up for this run was because of the ultimate accuracy (I had JUST bought/completed a saber from the previous run when this was announced). If getting every detail right means waiting longer, so be it.
