Mine arrived yesterday, and every piece is gorgeous! I won't be assembling it for a while, but I'm glad I grabbed it as soon as they went up for sale, and really appreciate that this project is supporting a very worthy cause.

Disassembled and ready for a wash. Will report back after a standard cycle.

My dishwasher apparently was very hot and discolored the hilt but not in the direction I was hoping for. Left it in there too long.
I did buff it out and the finish looks normal. Might use some AB to grey it up more before painting.

Decided to darken it with a dip in AB. Buffed it out in all directions. Im pleased with the initial finish. Will transition to painting this weekend.
Did a second round of AB. Little bit darker in the hard to reach places. Haven’t found time to paint yet.
