Hello everyone,

If you've been following Halliwax's Youtube channel. (Which you really should ;)) You have already seen these sabers.

But for everyone else, I thought you might enjoy some photos I snapped on my new Sabine saber.
Halliwax and I painted up two of these sabers a couple of weeks ago.
The one in black and red is the production version and it has been accurately finished off just like the prop used on screen.
The blue and yellow saber is a prototype we painted in Ukrainian flag colors since a portion of every sale from these saber kits will support relief efforts in Ukraine.

If you want to support the run, you can pick up a kit tomorrow 4/6/25 ATSTARSEND.COM

Sabers are on sale now! Get them out of my house

I appreciate that. His next project is bringing back a “blast from the past” so keep an eye out for our next zoom call video…

Prototype is on the way to him now. ;)
Don't do me like that, you big tease!

What is the dishwasher treatment used to match the finish on the aluminum? I searched but could only find references to the process, not the actual process itself. Is it as simple as it sounds, or does it require specific detergent, cycle, etc?

Foe, the detergent you use does make a difference, also the grade aluminum varies the results. Based on recommendations by members in the V2 thread, I filled the larger compartment with Oxiclean powder and ran the short cycle, about 60 minutes. You will get this.

Thank you. Halliwax, do you know what the ideal specs would be to achieve the finish Starkiller got for the Sabine? Is that covered in the subscription weathering tutorial?
