She-Hulk time! (Finished! pg 4)

Re: Shulkie by valentines day! (She-Hulk WIP)

I am so in love with this project you just don't even know.

Can't wait for the lawyer version. Don't forget the 7$ Harry Potter glasses.

Re: Shulkie time!

I'm telling you "LAVA" soap will take that paint right off, the stuff works amazingly well. The shop I work at uses gojo "fine italian hand pumice" and it works great, but nowhere near as well as the lava stuff does.

A big bottle of Orange Goop ended up doing the trick in the end! But thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind for next time.

Re: Shulkie time!

That video just made my day. Particularly the luck dragon bit at the end. Pretty funny stuff there.

If I'm not mistaken, Reel Creations has a special makeup remover to get it off. Isn't it alcohol based? I need to experiment with that stuff.

Yes they do have a special make up remover. I have used their air brush paints several times and have not had issues removing it with the product that they carry on their website. Took me about an hour to remove it from my face, arms, and stomach, but it definitely came off with a lot less problems than it looks like you've had.

Re: Shulkie time!

you should do the p90x, Im on my second round and have helped 4 others do it aswell. It really helps to gain muscle and look fit! good luck Ill be watching this thread closely

Re: Shulkie time!

So it's about damn time for some updates, huh?

She-hulk is entirely finished. I was actually supposed to wear it to SDCC this past weekend but a bunch of different factors convinced me to hold off until dragon*con of this year. Looks like it'll be my big costume this go around :]

HOWEVER. I did wear the makeup and wig to be an Orion slave girl at a friend's booth, so I can at least show you that. I hope to have pics of the finished costume sans green body paint up sometime today or tomorrow!

I would be the one on the far right.

Cold cream works just fine for removing Reel Creations makeup. I did Darth Maul for a couple of years, and after removing my first run with rubbing-alcohol (OUCH!!!!), I tried cold cream on the advice of someone at RC -can't remember her name - and never looked back. Put it on, wait a couple of minutes, and scrub with a washcloth you won't need for good purposes afterwards, which you ought to be using for makeup duty anyways. I did end up trying a bottle of their dedicated makeup remover, and felt it worked about the same as the cold cream - and the cold cream was a LOT cheaper, and available at CVS.

ETA: Laam, your Orion looked great! Looking forward to full rollout of Shulkie!

Oh that's EXCELLENT advice, thank you so much!! I had to make due with just plain soap at SDCC and it was awful!
