Luckily, my wife is big into Dr. Who so she ordered one as well. :lol

I pray that they will be here in Sept. and up to snuff quality-wise.

I keep thinking back to the cyberman helmet that was shipped in a plain cardboard box.
 
I'll most likely throw the box away and keep the sonic! :lol

To have a sonic in my hands, made by THEM is worth the extra money to me! Having it made in China by someone who says "What is this? Make 10,000!" is not as special to me.

Same here, having the company that does the props make the sonic certainly makes it worth more to me. I would not go over 200.00 if they were made in China. :lol
 
I wish I could afford it. I have wanted one since 2005. I even tried to have one made myself with no success, but I lost my job back in February and my wife gave birth to our first child in April. I just can't justify the $430 to the US that it costs with this situation and it really hurts me as a huge Doctor Who fan (ask anyone I know) not to be able to get one. We have had to make serious cuts backs in spending and expenses just to make ends meet every month. Being on unemployment is not fun when you have to use it all just for food and bills, but especially when the one item I have waited for years to get one of comes out and you have to let it go because of money. Jobs are very hard to come by. I am actually quite depressed about the whole situation. If this would have come out 6 or 7 months ago, you couldn't have stopped me from buying one, but family has to come before anything else. That is where my money has to go.
Ok I guess that is enough of my whining.
I am glad for those who have been able to get one or in some cases two. I am sure that this is going to be the ultimate Doctor Who prop replica and is probably worth every penny. I also ask please post high rez pics when it comes out. I want to know what I was forced to miss out on.

#293 after a few initial problems ordering, my first order was cancelled but now I have an email saying pending and another saying payment confirmed :lol
 
me too oddly enough, i had a heartattack this morning when i got the email. i called the bank right away to make sure the money hadnt been withdrawn.

i got an email from sagepay saying transaction processed sucsessfully, but it still says pending on the website.

It better have gone through
 
I got an email from donotreply@sagepay.com that says Your payment has been processed sucessfully. They also gave me a long string of characters as my reference #. That's all I need. If they say no, then they'd better make 501. lol!
 
I just went through the steps up until you enter your creditcard info and it acted like they are not sold out.

I just placed an order a few minutes ago. And I got the e-mail "your payment has been processed successfully". And I have the really long order number too. I really hope I get one!!!

These are a TON of money, but remember what those stupid (sorry to those who do like them) Men in Black MR things where selling for?
 
the really long number is the transaction code, its the order number id be most concerned with. If i got screwed because of the credit card payment being funky im going to be severly mad

id would think they are smart enough to close the order page once they are sold out
 
They cancelled my 1st order this morning, because of credit card issues. The order was listed as pending since the get go, and was for tow sonics. I re-ordered today with my debit card, and immediatly recieved a confirmed status from MFX, and the payment e-mail from Sage. I darn well better get my sonic...

The order that I placed tonight says "pending". But it does say that my internet order number is 295. I'm not sure it that means that I have sonic screwdriver 295?

I tried a dummy run today too and it is going through OK and not yet sold out. You only get one order number though even if you buy ten (yeah, I know someone who has... not me), so it must be close to selling out now.
 
It just cleared my credit card so I guess all is good. What is the conversion rate from USD to GBP?

$1.00 = 1.63(gbp) ?

It came out about $33.00 more than I had calculated. Anyone else run into this? Is this that VAT tax?
