About the R1 trailer - I understand its purpose, but still - WAY heavy-handed on the character set-up, and the "I rebel...!" line made me cringe and worry...

I TRIED to get this back on topic...

Thank you!Although Ewan has become OWK, Ray Fiennes would have nailed it.

and how he would have looked around casting for the prequels:

If you want to get technical, what you need to comprehend about Alec Guinness is he looked old even when he was young. Ewan has the youth gene lacking the stress features of someone thats actually been in battle. Ray Fiennes would have nailed it, of course had he been allowed to act as anything but a plank of wood.

I wonder if they will stick with an opening crawl or not
It's been a feature of every Star Wars movie, but will it be a feature of the standalone films?
If so they I think it feels like even more of a prequel to the OT of sorts than a standalone
if so, will it have an episode number something like III.5 :lol

If they depart from the traditional crawl it could be a "paragraph" style or narrated similar to the classic serials from the 30s?![]()
I love the way that the opening of the clone wars has that one sentence "words of wisdom" followed by the 1930's newsreel recap. It fits very well

Wasn't there talk of Kenneth Branagh being cast as young Obi Wan at one time?
