I've recently watched a couple of reruns...and despite the nostalgia, it was tough to sit through...but back in the day, it was great to watch.

Ha! I did the same thing. Their stage props and lighting were ..... well, memories are way better than the actual show. But I did love it.

uuuuuuuuuuuu.............hhhhhhhhh...... (drool dripping on the floor). Any chance you worked on the LOST, after episode, playmation explanation skits? Like, "solving our problems with violence". These jaws minis had to have a skit life, yes? I find I am often the last to know. Do these have some videos that were made with them in stop motion?

This is probably going to be the last firearm that I'm going to model for a long time. This is the Ukrainian arms manufacturer Mayak (part of Ukroboronprom) Horizon's Lord. A bit of an odd name, but the reason I decided to model this, is because this was the weapon that was used by a Ukrainian Sniper to make the longest ever sniper kill shot in history. 3800 metres or 2.4 miles. The first three pics depict the standard "HL" and the last two the modified one. The standard Horizon's Lord was modified with a significantly longer custom manufactured barrel from Bartlein (US company) a new muzzle brake, as well as a customized March Sights long range scope (Which I have still to model). Except for the photo, I have not seen the custom buttstock anywhere else, so this also appears to be a custom job. The round used was a 14.5x114mm soviet round necked down to accommodate a Hornady .50 caliber bullet. The casing was much larger than the standard .50 cal casing and as such provided much more force to accelerate the bullet.

There isn't a lot of information online about this weapon, and it appears to have changed since it was initially manufactured. A different barrel with other calibers can be easily screwed in to change what round it can fire (along with the bolt, I'm assuming). It is foldable as well and loads from the bottom ahead of the trigger assembly.

Is that your own design or is it based off a real rifle?

Real rifle, you've probably heard of it without knowing this particular one (it was early on). Pretty cool piece of kit, it's a precision guided rifle system that can allow a guy with zero experience to pick it up and hit 1000+yard targets cold.
I was commissioned to model this as a wall-hanger, a real one is north of 20k I think.

Here's an old article with basic info on the rifle

I've never heard of it, but the PGF seems to be a interesting computer aided rifle. Very futuristic.

This scope is pretty much magical in the hands of the complete newb. It eliminates quite a lot of otherwise crucial training. It does for real what newbs think a laser sight does. Put dot on target, then pull trigger.
