i thought of making the abs and release both at the same time..what do you guys think ?
also for the abs, since we all have different body types i am going to make the abs as if they are 4 rings and the ab plates.
now to make it fit you our waist, you would only need to cut in the middle of the ring put the corresponding ab plate in the middle and cut of the excess.
is that ok with you ?

as for the abs, i think that's a good idea, that way, everyone can have a perfect fit.

Yep that's really looking good .Personally I would be happy to wait for them to be released together, just in case there are final adjustments you decide to make to the cod after doing the abs (although saying that I cant see anything that would need adjusting).
And the four adjustable ring idea, sounds good to me! Should be able to get a well tailored fit. Has that method been used before successfully on another suit?

That sounds good.
For the abs i would make 4 different rings that collapse ik one another just like darksiders. But not make the sizes so fifferent from another. His ones really go from wide at the top, to narrow at the bottom. Thats not really realistic.
Alse the lowest ab plate should match the opening at the top of the cod.
As for making it wearable af fiberglassing, i would devide every ring in 5 pieces. The back part. The 2 little pieces on the side. And the front part devided in the middle.
Afterwards i would connect the part together wit elastic band. And connect everything in the front using velcro. Afterwards you cover this up with the ab plates.
I think i wille connect the 4 ab plates to another als using elastic band. And pressing those on the ab rings using either velcro again or maybe magnets
That way i believe it would be completly moveable

And one more thing about the cod.
I would make the part that runs between your legs far more narrow. Not everyone has 'o' shaped legs

the cod looks great man :thumbsup I was just curious, it's been a while since we've seen any progress on the shins, it been, like 3 months or so. and yeah, I know you have been/are hard at work with school. it just looked like from the updates that they were done and only had to be unfolded...

im sorry but i dont think i will separate the abs in the section you mentioned. the reason for that is that it will be horrible to model and keep everything aligned and even if i separate them after i modelled the details it would just be a mess to keep everything in shape will fiberglass/bondo everything. i suggest you separate those parts with a dremel after the bondo stage
for the system you will use to make the abs flex i will make a picture on how to achieve that in a very easier way.
last thing for the cod i made it like that so like the abs you would just need to trim the excess to get your fit !

i will rebuild it after the abs but it shouldnt take long..
but if i remember i think i sent it to streetsoul to unfold it but i didnt talked to him for a long time..i'll try to figure this out !

euhm honestly i dont know but the shin's the part im doing right after the abs
because these part move while you walk/are in movementthat's an awesome job you did there! Can't wait to finally pep it!
Btw, I have a question, I was looking at the thigh file and I don't understand why the parts in the red circle are not attached to the main part. Can someone explain? :s

the side part is supposed to move away from the thigh to give some mobility and the upper parts are supposed to collapse a little bit like the abs to allow some mobility as well.

yeah, the upper part i understand and it makes sense, but i still don't understand the side part. i mean, if it's fixed on the thigh, it won't limit movement anyway, right?

no it shouldnt but if you got it right it will allow more movement tho
yeah, that's what i thought. i think i'm gonna fix it to the thigh, although it's not more articulated, it's easier... thanks anyway!
