Planned on keeping the wip thread full of pics, so here is what was done today.
Not a lot., but parts that have to be done.

Collar plate, spine, and the piece that goes on top of the back.

Started resining the small pieces today!

After more filler and sanding the cod now needs detail lines!

Put in 1 1/2 hrs in so far today, going to eat some dinner and see if there is any juice left in the tank to keep going tonight, aka: the wife let me???

Here's the chest with some work done, still needs a lot of work!
The next trick is getting the chest and back to line up because they are slightly off.

Did you use a heat gun to make these adjustments? I've seen a couple of threads where people used that method to reshape or re-align their fiberglassed piece.

Keep up the good work - You're getting some really clean lines on those finished pieces! I can't wait to see it painted! :thumbsup

I went ahead and built a new chest and attatched it to the back before i began to harden it. But I have seen the threads your talking about. I'm sure you of all people will have no problem, and thanks for the compliment!

Surreal- your due for an update, I cant wait to see your next masterpiece!
STEALTH- your still the badass, on your build did you use duplicolor's dark cherry metallic?? I think Indie and other's used the same.

This weekend was a handful.... literally!

My hat goes off to zabana for an awesome hand file:thumbsup

Here is it as just a pep, rough, but all those small pieces are difficult

First I attached the lower palm and knuckles, then i attached the back of the hand

Added some detail and then a coat of primer/filler

They are not perfect, I might go back and touch them up some more... but I will have to still split the hand and also cut out the circle for lights! :cool

The fingers have been sanded on the outside but added some more filler to the inside for support.

Also, put a coat of plastidip on the foam pieces.

Another productive weekend! The hands took up almost all the time:behave
Have a few more things to finish up but the plan is to start putting paint on this coming weekend.
