After years of saving Christmas and birthday money, I was finally able to save up enough money to buy my first 3d printer. I found a great deal on Amazon for a CR-10s V2. CR-10S V2. I've always wanted to get a 3D printer since my best friend Barrett Pote told me about them. I wish he was still here (died unexpectedly April 12, 2017). I know he would be excited that I was able to get a 3D printer. So far for the printer I've upgraded the build plate with a new build plate from th3d.com, and I also updated to a metal feeder because the plastic one broke. I am still learning how to position the pieces before I print them. I've had multiple times where the print just failed. I also had 3-4 times where I ran out of filament, and I has to reprint the pieces. I am using Hatchbox 1.75mm PLA filament.
So the first Iron Man suit I am going to 3D print is going to be the Iron Man Mark XXXIX Starboost. I was able to get the files for Starboost for free from Starboost files.
so after messing around with the files in Cura and Meshmixer. So far I was able to print out
Right Palm
Both Hand toppers
Both forearms
Both Biceps
Both shoulders
Left elbow(need to resize and reprint)
I have about 50% of the chest and backpack done.
I have many other pieces scaled and ready to print.
This thread will be pretty pic heavy, with a few vids here and there.
