Nostromo Tracking Device w 3D printed parts (WIP)

Some tape recorders have a small one on the side whilst others models have a small one underneath and a large one on the side. Some of the other models don't have any at all.
They're cheap to buy but I imagine they'd be expensive to ship depending where you are in the world.
Great thank you, i've managed to source a Pioneer gauge, key, Ranger TV and potentiometer so the speakers are next on the list. The 3D pieces you designed, are they publicly available ie. the icecube tray and sensor?

Yup, I'm in the same boat (with regards to parts I have).

I gutted my TV today and I'm looking at the parts I have versus the parts I need...
Those 3D files would really be handy!

Hi nice to hear someone else is starting the same project as me, I’d love to see how you get on as I’m at the same stage as you are by the sounds of it

The round knobs are the same size as industrial sewing machine bobbin cores (I used to sew boots for a living), so I am going to use these with a small screw inside and then top them off with 2 part epoxy. The less things I have to glue on the better. I've found 22 in my random parts bin, I'm betting I can find three more...

dan647 Nice work so far. Just an FYI, the original prop's ice tray was 12 cell, so you could maybe slice a section out from the middle, and rejoin? Dunno, may end up being too short then, finding the "right" sized one is a SOB.

That all said, if you've made the conscious choice to go with a 14 cell tray, and make this you're own take on the prop, good on you! That's completely valid too  :D

Hi thanks for your feedback, long story short is I couldn’t find a 12 cell one (I am still looking though). Unfortunately I don’t have the know how to design my own 3D models so I'm having to work with what I’ve got/can find.

Just need to clear coat it and add a strap, but apart from that I’m all done.

Thank you to everyone on here that has helped with comments, photos and advice.
