do you think if i died the soles like a teal aqua color it would look good?
Anything has to be betting than **** yellow, but teal or aqua might be too dark.

Hey everyone, there seems to be some confusion regarding some posts in this thread. This is not a place for non-Premium Members to sell stuff on the RPF. If you have something to sell, you need to be selling it in the Classifieds forums and you need to be a Premium Member. Thanks.

There used to be a translucent blue paint which, if watered down and sprayed on the inside surface of the clear/yellowing soles, might produce a bluish / aquaish / greenish? look. I havent bought any for years - it was great for the warp nacelles of Star Trek Federation spacecraft models. This may still exist in hobbyist shops, you could try that

is there any pics of dyed mags? what color would be best?
Have a look a few pages back. A guy painted his mid soles light grey and used blue RIT dye on his soles. I liked them, but the soles were dark.

@DavidProehl
greatest first post ever?

These soles go yellow right through the cross section. If you paint them white, the soles won't have the translucent look to them any more.

do you think if i painted them very lightly just enough that the yellow would show through that the lights would still shine through well enough?

Have a look back page 192 at RIT dye soles. If you were to use white, I would be mixing it with acetone to make it thin, painting it on, then letting the acetone evaporate. That should leave a permanent whitish finish that should be translucent. Maybe...

Hi everyone! Yet another Mag noob checking in. I just finished reading all 200 pages of this thread. It has taken me about a week, reading a couple hours every night. There is a great wealth of information here!

Thanks for the sum up David, it's very useful!

If you thin down white paint it won't dry as a solid color.
should i use plain acrylic or would like thinned spray paint last longer?

also cavx how did that slit sole look work out? did it last long or was that even done to a wear pair? i dont remember the page but im talking about the slit you put in the soles to get that triangular outward side sole look

Really not sure. You would be best to test that first.

It held up quite well and I wore those everywhere.

Yep the pump works pretty good. I think the bladder the air is stored in is smaller than a Reebok Pump ankle piece, (a lot of Reeboks only pump up the tongue though) but they're still cool. I'm wearing them out to a concert tomorrow night. They are almost as tall as the V2's.
Please post a photo of these against the MAGs. I had Air Pressure years ago but they were about 8" tall where the MAGs are about 10".

IMG_4107.JPGhere you go.

do you just slice it and glue it spread open or did you put in a spacer?

I cut mine open using a cutting wheel on a dremil, then I inserted the plastic part which I made from a piece of 5mm Polycarb. I used Polycarb because it is flexible where Perspex is not. I used superglue to hold it in. It never came out in the while time I used them.
