Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

I bet the same thing will happen to the V3s once you are wearing them heaps.
Wore them all day around Ikea and that uncomfortable left shoe is starting to feel better.
I used to have difficulty getting the shoes on. Now they just slip on and off. The strap is still a bit weird. Even though there is no velcro, the seem to not slide well thought the slot and I am scared of breaking the little bit of plastic.
Toes are still tight and I am really thinking 11s would have been better for me.

Hello everyone!
Im Kevin, aka Kevlar, new to this forum and RPF and i am curious where i can buy the Nike Mag v2's?

Also, does anyone know of a forum or youtube video or something where i can find how to mod my "official universal studio" mags? i.e. so they are like the real mags of course.

Thank you!!!!!

cavx so you wore your pair already, but this could be interesting for your next ikea visit..i will give it a try when i got my pair finally..will try it on some jordans at first..

maybe someone knows what kind of material this is??? little expensive for just two small sheets..

as for me, i compare it to some underbody sealant on a classic car..in that case it makes kind of sense..

people with a display pair and a wear pair don't need it..

Fairly certain its clear vinyl of some sort. If you look on Ebay for "clear car vinyl bra" or something similar you can find it in matte finishes and glossy finishes, and you can heat it the same way as the sole shields.

If you do a search on YouTube for modding MAGs, you will find a heap of videos on toe slimming, redoing the lights etc.

I am not concerned about wearing the soles down as I can make bubble free parts to replace them.

I wore the MAGs into the Nike store at Harbor Town today. A few staff noticed and one came up and asked about them as I was trying on a pair of other shoes (for work and casual wearing). My wife was holding the MAGs (In case someone decided to walk away with it) whilst I was trying the other shoes on, she noticed some fan boys were pointing and having a geek-out moment. The staffer asked if they real, where I got them etc and I told him, online from China, the land where patents don't exist and that after dollar conversion, these were about $700. He was flawed that I was actually wearing them at that price and I simply said, that is why I bought these. I wouldn't wear them if they were real and I paid $7000 for them.
He said that he has never seen the real MAG and how close were they to which I said, they bought a real pair and reverse engineered them. There are a few small differences but the main one is that the soles are bluish on the real shoe. I think I made his day.

I've used Tarzan Grip and because it is a gel, not a liquid it does not ruin the Velcro. I used the "tack" method where I placed the glue on the sticky outy part, then pressed that onto the strap, then pulled it away for 1min. After the minute is up, press and hold for 30 seconds and DONE! It is stuck down, will remain flexible and not turn the loop side of the Velcro hard.

Hey, thanks much! How about buying mag v2??? [emoji106]

DHGate seems to be the only place still selling the V2s these days. There is also a V2.1 and V2-R. The problem is, we don't have a preferred seller. The site uses pics they pull off the web, so you will see an add for V2 using 2011, V3 and V2 photos. Don't pay more than $200 and make sure you get photos of the shoes you are going to buy or you might end up with something you DON'T WANT like the Sports MAG or even HC MAGs.

What are the main differences between. sports mags and V2 models?

The V2 was the closest we had to the MAG before the V3.

It has branding, better proportions and generally a decently made shoe.
Both the Sports and the HC are not branded and the fabric is different as well as not being tall enough. The cuff is too puffy on the HC and too thin on the Sports. The sports is also made of two different materials where the ears are almost add on as they are made of vinyl. If they made them all cloth, they would be pretty cool.

Yeah had to do this as well on my wear pair. So glad it was an easy fix.

Weird that the glue gives up that easy. Most of China (where these shoes are made) is a fairly warm climate, so it is not like where I live is hot or anything.
