Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

I just bought a pair of v3 second hand and am really happy with them. The lights don't work which I am fine with. But they had creases in the front so I ironed them out. They are gone but where they were wet from the cloth I put over them there is a stain you can see it in the photo.
I might just iron up till the laces and let it blend in. Any ideas?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161118/0ecacaa3190a0805a7497ffbbd72276d.jpg

Edit: I just took a sponge and moistened it a little and it went away.
Did you try to look if by ironing they would get a better shape of the toe box ? Like for the V2 method to slim the toe ?

If anyone has has a V3 pair in any condition for sale it would be nice if you would contact me!
or me :D

I've never really told you all this but thatscoolwire.com will make el panels specific to what you want. Send them that part drawing of panel dimensions and they will do it I'm sure. Just make sure you specify you need it flipped for right and left. Let me know if anyone tries them. Just call them

I tried to push it down a little like the RDs but it is not like the v2s where there is foam underneath that gives it structure it is just a thick piece of fabric so I wasn't very successful.

Go to Walgreens. Buy a thick filefolder for school that has a little flex. Cut the size you need. Take a heat gun and warm it so you can bend to a shape that will stay. thatguyz or try anything. MacGyver

I have not ordered from sneakerahead but did you ask for QC pictures if not I think they just ship them out.

I did make a request for shoes with no stains, glue marks and free of any defects. I thought they sent QC pics automatically. Hhhmmm, well I guess I'll know if they're any good soon.

I don't know how they did it either. I've tried 3v, 9v & 12v inverters and couldn't get the correct color. I tried a tiny 3v inverter like the one markpoon uses in his strap kit and it made the el kind of a darker blue. The other inverters I have range in frequency from 2200hz to 4000hz and they still look aqua blue. Not sure of the hz on the tiny 3v but something is different about it to make a darker blue than all the others. I'd be curious to see what color a cyan green panel with the V3 inverter would be.

3v small inverter like we all used in the V2s

Camera picked it up well, definitely a color difference and neither are cyan green.

what inverter and where did you get them ? I'm looking for a small 3v for my straps

Just told them to ship. I hope they look as good in person.

I told David I was not concerned with QC pics. They sent them anyway. I looked over them and told them to ship. I don't see a point in harping over a small spec here and dot there. For the price we are paying, I am grateful we finally have shoes close to the grail MAG of BTTF2.

I think they've used a custom inverter that's giving the Panel a cyan turquoise shade.
As all other inverters used give the V3 EL panel a standard blue aqua colour, not cyan/turquoise like they are as they come in the shoe.

The only way to find out is to see the PCB under the white ankle piece.

What I can say is that my own EL Panels which are Cyan/Grass Green stay the same colour regardless of which inverter is used and match up pretty much the same as the V3 ones when they are in the shoe.

So basically, without the V3 PCB board, you aren't going to get those V3 EL panels to show up as they should, which is cyan. So basically useless if using with your own setup, unlike mine.

The panels in my V3's are actually blue EL panels, their custom inverter is just putting out a lower frequency to give them their aqua color.

Most definitely a custom inverter. I found a video where a guy built an adjustable circuit that changes the el from blue to what looks like cyan green. The circuit looks quite bulky tho.

it's not the small specks i'm concerned about. its the larger darker areas that bother me. and it is to take pics of them because for some reason on my other pair what I see in person doesn't show up on camera very well, I just don't want to find a big spot on this replacement pair.
