Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

all I can tell you is the ones I got are exactly the same ones as in the QC pics they sent me - matched up about 10 splatter points when I read about this happening earlier in the thread.
Hope you get the ones you approved too!
My last pair where not the pair I got in the QC photos so we will see

i just got my qc pics
everything is fine except a noticeable difference between soles
i okd since its the second pair they show me before shipping
o well
anyone know how to icy blue the soles?
and what do you think about the soles? will it make be a big deal in person?

Sea glow or retrobrite will clear the soles up. Making them icy blue would probably need a complete sole swap, unless anyone else know who to dye them somehow??. I personally dont think they look as bad in person as they do in the QC photos but will be pretty yellow regardless after a few wears. I dont know if it's the angle of the lighting but one shoe seems to definitley have yellower soles than the other

Anyone see these ??

Why ?? :facepalm ??

Well well, putting a little bit of clear spraypaint on with a cotton tip (sprayed clear into the can lid, dabbed cotton tip in and spread carefully over) works wonders for the V3 cloudy ankle buckle :) you can even see there are letters there (indicating which colour LED go on the circuit board perhaps?)

The letters represent left & right. Since each board is flipped for each shoe. Wish they didn't have any text on them, and they were just solid white...but you have to be really close to see the text really.

Looking pretty good but I agree with cavx might be a little too clear but nevertheless an improvement. Can you take some pictures of what it looks like with the lights on?

This is what I would do IF I ever decided to dye them. Id rather someone do it first though since I have no experience with this.

here you go. I didn't bother doing one at a time as I'd already tested this effect on some unrelated clear plastic, it worked on that, and we all know what they look like before so no before and after shot needed. I think the green still isn't 'green' enough but I'm happy with them. I would have gotten a better effect if I could take the ankle bubble out and spray it, but that's way too much work and risk for a perfectly working pair. The lights have been on and off (mostly on) for about 3 hours now and going strong after a full charge days ago.

it doesn't make the entire bubble clear, only the sections where the LEDs are. Must be frosted on the underside too. So, not as clear as the V2s.

Not too bad an idea but I would just give the V3s a couple of coats of sea glow first to get rid of any yellowing then use the dye and sea glow but with a much smaller proportion of dye so it has the ever slightest hint of blue. You wouldnt want them as blue as these foams are cause in the end whats the point? I doubt the dye is UV resistant

If anyone can match a pantone colour with the v3 sole panel or strap panel that will be helpful.
Thanks

Have a look at 3252C on THIS LINK and let me know what you think.

Note that there is RGB values where this colour is RGB 42 210 201. Ideally we want RGB 0 255 255 but I am not seeing anywhere to enter a custom RGB value.

Anyone else's V3's EL keep a very slight glow for a minute or so after you turn them off? Only noticed it after leaving them on for hours tonight.
The glow goes away pretty soon, so I don't expect it would be a problem, just wondering.

Mines does that. It made it hard to tell at first whether my EL panels were going out or not. Also, I have my replacement pair coming in the mail and have been worn my first pair with the failing EL panel twice this week. These V3s are pretty well built. The soles are starting to slightly yellow on the sole but they have come in contact with a lot of UV light from the sun. Also besides the front half of the EL panel go out on the left shoe, I havent had any other of the electronics fail

i dyed the soles on my hc's with sole bright and their blue leather dye. It works but after your soles yellow the blue also changes. I just redyed them the other day. Just be careful because they will go dark real quick.

That is normal. Part of the EL sheet is a substance not that different from GITD powder. It reacts to AC but stays slightly illuminated for a few seconds after the power is cut.
