Dope, I hope my soles look like that when they arrive.
Man these shoes are like freaking fused together. I have been trying to get the soles off slowly...but its very painstakingly slow. Heat hardly seems to help with these. It is seriously like there is no glue seam. These are definitely a different ball game then the V2. The painted sole area has a lot lower melting point then the clear rubber, so heating anything will melt through that section before it breaks anything loose. Using an x-acto with a rounded scalpel style blade is the only way I am making progress and part of the foam material is coming off with it...because basically its cutting not breaking a seam. Good luck to anyone else who tries this. :wacko Brb throwing the shoes in the oven

Question about this. So on the bottom of my V3s where the sole attaches to the side where the Els are located. was there a pretty good open gap like enough where you could stick your finger nail into?
I think that this is the only picture of this shoe. The picture is a few years old, and I'm not sure where it's from. Maybe someone's personal collection. It doesn't show signs of excessive use that filming would do, so it might have been from a backup pair that was never used. The clear soles still being clear is quite odd like you mentioned because it's 27 years old, so not sure how that is. I think if you got a pair of V3s with the sock toe, they would look similar to this.If that is one of the screen used shoes, it is in amazing condition. Parts like the buckle heel cup and mid-soles would have been made from urethane. The urethane used in the late 1980's to 1990's used to have relatively short shelf lives of about 5 to 6 years. Signs of break down were cracks and yellowing.
interesting that the soles are still clear on that shoe compared to all the other shoes I have seen where the soles are so so yellow, they are almost brown.

Yes I know if the Friends and Family pairs. It struck me as odd though that the clear soles are brown for some reason. Like Nike took way too much from the screen used photos and the shoe they had for reference. Maybe someone accidentally left them next to a sunny window.I'd hope so.
You no doubt have seen photos of the "family and friends" pairs where one was an exact replica of the screen used shoe and other one of the standard 2011 MAGs? I just wish they had all been exact replicas or at least pairs of the exact replica. Those shoes look so good.
It is not just the fact that the sock toe is movie accurate, it is because it is also way more comfortable not having a toe cap pressing on your toes. Toe caps work in boots, not shoes like this with ultra slim profiles.
Got a tracking number for my replacement pair a few days ago. Everything was fine, then yesterday morning it says "package on hold". The package is still in China so I dont think it has been through customs yet.
I then receive a Text message supposedly from DHL saying " Your DHL shipment from ********** is scheduled for delivery on Monday August 8th by the end of the day and may require signature. authorize delivery or choose another delivery option" it has a link that I clicked and it takes me to a page that has boxes that say "Schedule delivery, Signature release, leave with neighbor, alternate address, and vacation hold"
I clicked the link and confirmed the address. An hour or so later I see my tracking and it says " Returned to Shipper"
What does this mean @davidjones888??
Has anyone here every had anything like that happen before? Has anyone ever gotten a text like that before?
I am ultra frustrated

Yes, it seems it happened to us, with Fabri, not sure what it means...?
It's the exact same text I received on my phone..
The tracking info says : returned to shipper.
But the text says: delivery scheduled for Monday August 8th.

I just called DHL and they said the reason the package was returned to shipper is because the package contained a battery and was improperly packaged or didnt pass inspection with the battery. Please reship @davidjones888 I have been waiting a while now.
I guess it might have been the same with us @001FAB
