I am just getting worried as it has been a while for these to arrive. I have spent over $2000 with David in the last Month or 2 and am trying to buy more, but not until this transaction goes smooth.
 
I just got pictures this morning of my second pair. Soles look much better! I asked for blue tint soles in the comment box but they said all they could do was send QC pictures. I'm happy with them though. New on the left and old on the right.

Yeah I've been looking at side by side pictures and that's what it looks like. Although it's not as extreme as some of them I've seen on here. These new ones are also a lot more clear as well.
 
A bit off topic, but does anyone have a good source for acrylic display boxes? I'm trying to replicate the Nike plutonium display case for my Mags and figured if anyone knew it would be this group. The only requirements is that it's a 14"x14"x14" box, since I'll be putting my size 11s in it.

The cheapest I've found so far is $85 shipped, but it was an 1/8" acrylic and I think 1/4" would be better.

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion about how accurate/inaccurate the V3s are. LOL

If you're gonna get a display box, I'd look into UV-blocking material for sure, if possible.
 
Hey, question for anyone who has the V3's. What is the length and width of the box, and what is the combined height of the box and shoes?

Got a tracking number for my replacement pair a few days ago. Everything was fine, then yesterday morning it says "package on hold". The package is still in China so I dont think it has been through customs yet.

No text like yours, but my shipping problem is the tracking number says the order is still with the overseas courier in China. It said "delivered" but to some china address which I assume is the overseas courier. I have contacted the support team about it as I paid weeks ago and am feeling impatient for the V3s.
 
whoa, congrats man, for getting them off after reading about how hard it was. On the plus side, that should mean for anyone not taking off the soles they won't fall apart anytime soon. After wearing V1's quite a bit I've had to reglue them a few times.
Thinking of that, I only just finished replacing the sole of a V1 with black pyramid mat yesterday. Didn't turn out too hideous....

Cool man looks good. Yea I was going about it the wrong way the last few days. Today I was able to pull them off, only an inch or so section had to be cut.

Also to the other guy yea I'll try to get box measurements

The last image I saw of a friend anf family pair, the soles didn't look that bad. Maybe those were made way before the main production of 2011 MAGs. I understand the project started 6 years before.

I really like those V1, They look so much a better base for modifications ! Too bad it is now impossible to get a pair :/
 
there were a lot of inaccuracies with the V1s, but at least they're pretty comfortable. Pity they couldn't have sewn the elastic lace replacements on the inside rather than cutting the upper and putting it in there. That really spoiled the look. But hey, for $50, can't have everything.
