Love it!
Anyone with eyes and basic knowledge of the shoe can spot differences. You don't need to patronize people. What I recommend is for everyone who has issues with the inaccuracies of these or don't take my or Nickymabbs words for it, go buy the real Mags, then buy these. Compare the two for yourselves, take all the notes you can, then post your concerns about how they can improve these shoes.
Yes making it cater to the RD is where the money is at. But why would they decide to make the soles clear and not blue? Not because they were unable to or because you can mistakenly take the ones on the RD as normal clear, but they wanted to some degree be true to the movie. This is true and you know it.If that's your opinion & you choose to believe it then great.
However, all the evidence & logical reasoning is that they're intended to be as close a replica to the 2011 RD the Nike created as that's where the money is. Let's not beat around the bush, they're to appeal to the huge network of sneaker-heads all over the world, that saw the 2011 Mags dropped by Nike & either couldn't afford them or didn't manage to acquire because of their exclusivity. Not to appeal to prop collectors or hardcore BTTF fans which is a minority in comparison.
Hence the replica box, authenticity plate, booklet etc. Why not stick them in a replica 'FOOTWEAR' tube? Because they're not movie props, they're for sneaker heads to own Mags at a fraction of their worth & sell in a large enough quantity to make big profit. Simple.

Genuinely, if you could put the V3 & RD side by said as I have done, they're much closer to the RD than the movie shoe, so much so that they're almost exact copies. When you genuinely break down the movie shoe, they're about a 70-75% resemblance to the V3 & RD.

Just because they aren't distinctly blue in person wouldn't make your eye mistake them for straight up normal clear. And with making any product, there are tests. If they wanted the exact blue from the RDs they would compare their soles with the real pair they had and put in some blue dye to make it match. As people have already said, the RD soles are not as distinctly blue in person. So with RDs on hand, they're MORE likely to make them clear than if they just went off pictures.

Sorry in advance for the rant.

Go for it! If the community is anything like it usually is, someone will eventually offer replacement parts to fix ANY problems you have with it. hahaI want to order Monday but at the same time I want to wait to see if any updates are made. But then again I'm scared the longer I wait there's more of a chance the qc will start to suffer.
Opinions?

On a different note, has anyone sprayed these things down with a product like NeverWet yet to keep them from staining? I'd be interested in seeing the results since I'm considering whether to do it myself but want to make sure there aren't any issues with the fabric reacting to the process.

And it didn't spot or stain when you sprayed Crep Protect on it?I sprayed a pair with that Crep protect, but I am def not guinea pigging them with anything lol

I might have to do that then.

Man these shoes are like freaking fused together. I have been trying to get the soles off slowly...but its very painstakingly slow. Heat hardly seems to help with these. It is seriously like there is no glue seam. These are definitely a different ball game then the V2. The painted sole area has a lot lower melting point then the clear rubber, so heating anything will melt through that section before it breaks anything loose. Using an x-acto with a rounded scalpel style blade is the only way I am making progress and part of the foam material is coming off with it...because basically its cutting not breaking a seam. Good luck to anyone else who tries this. :wacko Brb throwing the shoes in the oven

You're a brave sole! (get it?! )
Got any pics of your progress yet? I can't wait to see your progress. Someone had to be the pioneer here. I'm sure we can all learn a lot from you.

Question about this. So on the bottom of my V3s where the sole attaches to the side where the Els are located. was there a pretty good open gap like enough where you could stick your finger nail into?
On a side note...I just received another pair today, here is a comparison picture of a pair I got 10 days ago (which has stayed in the box) and the pair I received today.
