Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

That would take away from the screen accuracy.

I think you have to remember though, the point of these shoes is that they're as close to the official 2011 Mag release, not the screen used prop. Creating a pair that's as close to the prop version probably isn't a priority, given that David is in the 'sneaker' game. Not the prop replica game.

Any movie related alterations don't need to be done in my opinion, being closer to the hero prop may increase sales from the likes of us, but will decrease sales from sneaker heads, as they'd look reasonably different from the 2011 official release. If you're going to do a 'sock toe' & other prop mods, then you might as well start sticking the power & elctronics in a separate casing with a cable that you have to carry around with you, as that would be even more accurate.

As they are, I think they're great & anything that can be done to take them even closer to the RD would be more of a priority.

sure, not problem, we will try to do that!

Hi David, thanks so much for coming on here and talking to us. I just wanted to add another comment/vote for the EL brightness. It's the ONLY thing holding me back from buying a pair so far. I am waiting for it to get a little brighter. Thank you! :)

1. why no paypal?
2. western union is good for you but very risky for consumer. How do you guarantee Buyer will receive items when paying through western union?
3. why do the shoes cost $637 when website says they are $599? is it for shipping and insurance?
4. are you working on a solution to protect shoe soles from sun damage?

yeah I turned it on outside to take pics during the day and thought it was broken lol but it was just that it isn't a strong light so it's hard to see in day light

I must say though after seeing jedi's comparison of his modded v2 and RD pair in the complex video and joining the forum I am so happy a V3 pair finally came out and i actually have them! Seems unreal!

davidjones888 will you release a "no electronic" version for those who don't have the money ? (or sell parts separetly like the soles ?)

Thanks for your time ;)

Hi @davidjones888 ! So glad to see you here.

Everyone here has posted about their shoes and things that could be made better.
I think that the main issues are :
• The toe box
• The Fabric
• The missplacement of the swoosh

In my opinion, The bigget NO GO for me and other is the Ordering process (and the price) !

Would you consider selling a BASIC version of the shoe without Electronics inside and a strap that is not attached to the shoe ?

Thanks :)

Thx for your advice . we will try to make it better,.
And for the basic Mag without electronics . we will consider it .

I know you answering this is a long shot...but what about the people who have bought multiple pairs already? Can you give us some pointers on fixing our own pairs? I would like to fix the EL brightness on my pairs. Would you be willing to post some photos of the shoes before they are glued and assembled? This would really help me figure out the best way to disassemble mine to get to the electronics.

I would definitely buy another pair of basic Mags for walking around. Oh and a white pair for sure.

And thanks for taking care of the quality control issues. I turned down a pair because of the QC pics, so I'm waiting on another pair from the factory (order #130327233).

Well they are already going towards a movie version with the normal clear soles. Otherwise they would have gone with blue. Screen accuracy is what they've been going for since the V2. The sock toe I can go without because it takes away from the perfect form of the shoe. But the white underneath the soles with normal clear is what was originally on the shoe and Nike made them blue for the 2011 release to be more UV resistant.

The 1989 MAG was literally made for 5 wears or so. Its fabric wrapped around automotive foam, very simple compared to the official 2011 version. It had no liner and the collar was glued to the top of the upper, would look nice having a 100% reproduction, but just as display. Here's what happens after 25+ years with that construction
