Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

MitasTouch - That's interesting. 26.5cm is a US 8.5 I believe. Mine coming in at 26cm would make them a US8 / UK7 which is what they feel like to me, even though they're marked as a US7 / UK6. I would appear that either the smaller sizes are running large or there's some mislabelling, as my RD US7 / UK6 are a full cm shorter in length than these reps.

My original parts were re-worked off the vacuum formed parts I did back in 2012.

Once I molded and cast these, I made several sets which have all been used or sold. The parts were nice, but a touch too round, so I reworked them again.

This is my latest version. I have not really cast any parts yet. The original part is on the right. The dimples in the new part look overly pronounced, because of shadows.

So what I did was to place half of the original mold into the mold box (butter box in the picture), flood it with D65 plastic and then resculpt. I then trimmed a bit off the bulge and added the dimples to look closer to the screen used shoe buckles.

After I was happy with the new master part, I placed it back into the butter box and fill the container with silicon. I repeated the steps until I had 2 x the 2 part molds.
The first test I did used the same A65 rubber I use for the soles and the strap tabs seemed too weak. It might be possible to pour the body in A65 and then reinforce the tabs with A100.

The buckles currently on my shoes are all A100 and whist they don't flex, add real support to the back of the leg and are very comfortable.

I meant the LED bubbles.

According to the sizing chart I have, a US8 Men is just under 265mm, so that sounds true to size. .

That's about an US 8.5. Mine are supposed to be a US7 but come in at 26cm which is a US8 / UK7. They should be 25cm which is the length of my RD mags.

So the question I have right now for this rejected this pair is - Do they just sold off to someone less fussy or are they marked as B stock?

I reckon it's got to be someone less fussy. Probably sent out to someone who just placed an order, doesn't ask for photo's so they're none the wiser.

I will be getting my US 7 Monday so I can check sizing

Yeah, would be great to know!

I've done as those as well, but the molds are being a PITA and I am either trapping air or losing resin.

You can't really see its shape here, but is as close to the real part as I could get. Even though the real part is slightly bigger, I made this for the V2s so it could be a change out part.

The bubbles on the V3 look perfect. Why would you want to change them out?

So what was wrong with them?

Yeah, would be great to know!

I wear a size 8 normal shoe and the insoles on my normal shoes are the same than the V3s. The V3s also fit very well on me. I used average ankle socks, so thicker tube socks like MJF wore would make them fit even better because there is a little more room in them when compared to running shoes.

As you can see my US 8 Adidas insole next to my V3 insole. The lengths are exactly the same. I put the Adidas insole on top of the V3 to make sure. It just would be that clear of a picture. The width is just a little different at the heels.

I already contacted them days ago asking if they had any with broken lights or other faults with the thought of wearing them a lot. Cheap enough, might get a good version and a 'beater' lol If I'm going to be wearing them all during the day i dont care if the lights are broken. no response yet though.

They're a little bit too iced over.

Yeah I guess we are coming from flat, glassy, clear bubbles on the V2 to a more accurate, but over frosted part on the V3.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I wonder how much they would discount for a broken light system.

Well they offered me $30 off my pair...

If anyone's gonna be giving them feedback you should also mention the dim ELs. In my opinion that's probably the biggest flaw with these shoes. The ELs are one of the most important parts of the shoe so until they fix that problem, I won't be ordering a pair.

Ok so now we're waiting for the V3 with power laces? What should we name it? I vote for V3PL. It's not a V4 because it will just be the V3 obviously just with power laces.
