Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

OK so i checked out the website(s) its kinda strange they only take Western Union , or Bank transfer only and no CC or Paypal . kinds sketch

Wait , did i read that someone ordered $700 Mags ? who makes $700 mags ?
Nope. There are a bunch of sites CLAIMING to have "authentic" shoes for that price, but they keep showing the same pair of shoes over and over and over again with promises that they will release something soon.

Right now there is a "preorder" for the shoes, but so far no one has ordered and we have no way of knowing what would actually arrive.

After some bad luck with my HC mags i just purchased a pair of what i guess is the V2s from Karin. I asked her to send photos of the shoes i would be receiving, or at least what her stock looks like right now. She replied minutes later with a handful of pics and recommended I get a size down (10s) since i wear a Nike 11. They came to $200 with free shipping and about a 12 day shipment. She confirmed they have the swooshes and air mag decal on the heels. I asked her to just make sure the pair that goes out is free of any glue stains or blemishes and she replied back said ok. Seems to be legit. Ill see what happens in 12 days and ill be sure to post pics of what I receive.

Here are the pics KARIN sent me - They look WAY better than the HC's do already. My HC's look like Uggs,

I have these reps that i bought used , and i have the real ones from nike , they dont comapre , but to people who dont know what to look for they pass , they only things i would love to change are the stiffness of the upper , the thickness where the pull rings are , the soles need to be clear and the EL lights including the straps , what i dont understand is why do all people use blue lights when doing moding there pairs the lights are actually greenish

Never posted in this thread, but I've lurked in it for a few months and been keeping up lately. I will volunteer to toss 30- 40$ into the pot for that group buy on the supposed new pair of MAGs. I like reading this thread each day and seeing what has progressed. It's exciting to think a new design could be on the horizon and throw something new at this thread. So I want that $700 purchase to happen so someone can see what the real deal is with them. Not sure it warrants the higher price tag, but a new design is nonetheless very cool to me.

We are aware of the greenish colour, it just seems hard to find the correct stuff on line.

The colour we want is called CYAN which is half way between GREEN and BLUE or EQUAL mounts of both colours. Most sites that offer "Aqua" as their Cyan colour tend to have product with more blue than green in the light as seen in the first image. Back in 1989, EL was relatively new and a more green colour would have been used as that probably would have been what was avialable at the time. EL used a similar compound the the Glow In The Dark powders and with those, green is the brightest, cyan being next and blue being the least brightest of the three. AFAIK, they have not been able to make a red or yellow version of GITD as the wavelength of the light needs to be 540nm or smaller. Red is around 400 and blue is around 700nm.

This even measures more blue on my colourimeter with R = 0 / G = 50% / B = 100%

This EL used in this pair (below) is very green. It was sent to me by member Taff83, but only enough for the straps.

This is the stuff we want. Just not sure where to get more.

Hey there everyone!

So over the last few days I have been catching up on everything which has been said on this thread (well nearly everything :cool), and I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone! I have learn't so much about the electrical side of things and how to create a new heel light system, which previously really confused me! I would especially like to thank DavidProehl who had the greatest post ever (#4982) which explains everything clearly and has diagrams on how the electrics all hook up with each other. I would advise anyone who is having trouble working out how to configure everything correctly to view the post, you'll feel so much better after it!

Also to anyone who read my first post about the shoes I found from Karin Cheng, I recently got in touch with her and asked what the shoes actually looked like, and she sent a handful of images (which I will leave below) and a link to the shoess like a really good seller from what I have read on this site and from speaking to her, she seems really legit! Anyway, I look forward to talking to you guys in future when I get underway with this project, because I no doubt will need a load of help and guidance a long the way!

So thanks again for all your brilliant posts on this thread, and I hope to speak to you all soon!

-Will

P.S

I was browsing through the website yourprops.com and came across a fantastic pair of converted V2 Mags which I just had to share! I will leave an image of them below and a link to the post because they are really quite amazing, and something I hope to replicate when I get all money together!

( cavx ) I knew I remembered them from somewhere! I really want a pair like this! I recognised them from the video he did with Tested. Yeah, she seems pretty good and honest. She has already sold a few pairs of the shoes, so I'm going to wait, get some money together and see what the Feedback is like :).

Hey everyone, just an FYI about my tutorials. Seems that YouTube feels that my tutorials are a trademark or copyright infringement and have pulled a few of my videos. I'm not sure how I infringed on the trademark but it might be because of the replica nature. Not sure though.

Anyway, I may do other tutorials that won't show the NIKE logo's....but it may be a while, so please don't email me asking when. Thanks!

Try Vimeo. Maybe even password protect them and they will be unlikely to be pulled.

I was gonna say the same thing -- try Vimeo. I was just watching something else on there before coming here, and the site was fresh in my head.

My HC's look like Uggs

When you get the V2s you ordered, can you upload some side-by-side pics of the HC's next to the V2's? Like the last pic in the ones you put up, but one HC. Some of us don't have HC's. I've been very happy with my V2's though I'm seriously considering trying a HC for trying out the toe cut mod. :)

Are you wanting to do a smooth toe or a proper sock toe?

I think the smooth toe - the sock toe might look strange on the extra-puffy HCs........

LOL probably. I was referring to your V2s. You should sock toes those.

I saw these today

These are supposed the MAG inspired. Umm yeah, right.

These have a profile closer to the MAG.

Meant to post one of these shot up on the 21st.

I've got 2 other colourways of the Command Force's. They're cool. (the white ones) Those red and black things are fugly.

if I had bought them today, probably would have paid $135. I will keep an eye on these as they are at a factory outlet store now, so in a few weeks, should be able to snag a pair (or 2) for about $100/pair.

Yes the 2015 HyperDunk is FUGLY. I was hoping they might have the white and grey colour way, but nope, just these. Who seriously wears red shoes?

so where can I buy these V2s? i already have 2 pairs of the HC's but I'd like the plutonium box and more accurate shoes.

Here are some pics of the HCs I'm returning since the left shoe electronics are shot after one day and to be honest an 11 is too big. I usually wear a Nike 11 and could go with a 10.5 if they had half sizes. I don't think they do. A 10 might be too tight for me. Also, I've added a before and after of the steam toe mod. Afters on left. They don't look bad in the pic of me wearing them but in person they're pretty damn big. The V2s look way better on people in pics so I'm hoping they're better than these HCs in person.
