ive been working all day and everything was going fine until i shocked my self really bad and my left shoes el sole went to **** :/ does anyone happen to have any left over el i could use? i just need enough for the left sole and i dont want to buy a whole new sheet this sucks... welp mods done so far (ive been working since 8:30 this morning) slim toe/painted midsole/led upgrade/flat laces/ attempeted to put clear sole on left shoe i dont think its going to work out on these 8.5 so thats money out the wnido/ el straps.

nope, sorry i figured everyone knows what the v2s look like lol and shes good. I got my package on time and the box is in good condition so thats a plus, I did pay for 3-7 day shipping though so idk if thats a factor in how my box was handled.

thanks yeah i was so tired from working all day on them lol my right shoe is pretty much complete just dealing with the yellow soles i found a guy on instagram whos sending me enough el for the replacement for only 5 bucks so im pretty relieved

Hair bleach is usually made by hydrogen peroxide, I wonder if it could be souch an easy trick!
the console process used is here but is supposed to work on an ABS flame redardant named bromine:

what you're talking about is called "seaglow" "retrobright" it goes by a lot of names but its essentially the same thing. That doesn't fix the problem, even doing this treatment to nintendo consoles is purely cosmetic the damage to the actual material is still there. all this does is take away the color, if you want clear soles that will stay clear buy cavx UV stabilized clear soles

Maybe there's some kind of UV blocking solution you could soak the soles in after de-yellowing them.
Been thinking about this myself, since the HC mags yellow quickly too. But I haven't had time to look into it.

All of the shoes are now in hand, packed and ready to go. The courier isn't available until tomorrow (Saturday), so they will be going out then, Tracking numbers to follow via PM when I get them, which may be later that day, could possibly be Sunday. The dude usually takes payment and packages and texts the tracking details when he has processed the packages back at wherever he is based.

Yeh I seaglowed my old Jordan 6's a bunch of times and it helped for a while but they just went yellow again after a while of use. Just ended up buying new Jordans, lol. Clear rubber sux. Hanging out for AirAir's project to come to completion. Glasses your V2 mods look great! I really should do at least the cut toe slim on mine as I already repainted the midsoles from going yellow.

Did you buy HCs or V2s?
This has been posted many times already, but the yellowing is right through the cross section. I know because I cut one in half and the material is the same colour right through almost as if it was made of yellow rubber from the beginning.
You can't "de-yellow" these. One reason the shoes cost what they do is due to the low standard of materials used. Even the Chinese said that in the early days - "Wait for next batch. Will be made better materials". Initially i though they were talking about the actual cloth on the upper. They never changed anything and I doubt they ever will.
The mid-soles are the same and the ankle buckle are the same. They yellow too, but at a different rate because they are not translucent, rather a solid colour that seems to colour shift, not just change. Even my 3D printed CP buckles are no longer white, more of cream now.
i did the Jedifyfe toe mod on my v2s instead of the movie sock toe like on my hc shoes because i want my v2s to be sturdier as i plan to maybe wear them out of costume. i was able to get the super slim toe by also ironing the toe like cavx has done. On top of the already modded toe it gives it the super slim look of the sock toe just not the movement you see in the film.

I got the V2s through booshman. I'm going to do the 9v electronics replacement only assuming I can find the inverter somewhere that doesn't charge an absurd $40 shipping charge. Other than that and the straps, I don't have any immediate modification plans. Maybe the toes. I'm only on page 18 of the mods thread. At the rate I'm going, I'll finish reading it by May and maybe have a plan in mind.
