Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

You can have the inverter for 12$ shipping if you ask no tracking regular mail service.
That's what I did and no problem. This inverter is the smallest.

I was just about to write this :lol

As Vormz said, you just have to email them and ask for the cheapest possible shipping.

You will have to check out with the more expensive shipping, but then they will refund you.

Sorry for the noob post but theres a lot of pages to look through and most of the links seem to not work. Can some one direct me to where I can buy a pair of fairly accurate Nike Mags....I usually wear a size 10.5.

I just ordered from Joanna steven's store on aliexpress. She seems to be the most reputable right now and also has the best price.

it is $217 on mobile shipped with epacket service.

Glasses recently ordered from her with DHL shipping and got them very fast.

I will update the thread when mine comes as I ordered on Saturday and today it is showing as shipped but I'm not able to track yet. Hopefully it will refresh the tracking in a day or two.

Finally got my mags from Joanna Stevens. No real major issues, just a bunch of small ones.

The swoosh isn't very crisp. I assume their dye cutting machine is worn out. The usb plug isn't as finished as the hc mags. Just leaves a bit to be desired. The Nike mag lettering on the heel cup has some bubbles and stray threads of adhesive. It also looks small to me for some reason.

If anyone wants more pictures just let me know.

Nice! What's first up mod wise?

How many days did it take from order til delivery?

epacket?

how was the box?

i ordered last Saturday, showed shipped on Monday, tracking movement first appeared this AM.

Not sure that I'm going to mod them (famous last words LOL). They took about a week, shipped by epacket, and the box was in ok condition. A few bumps and bruises. Definitely not perfect.

My box was wrecked, and they came from Karin. Who cares about boxes though I guess.

Does anybody know how to remove the foam layer from the toebox to make a sock toe slim? The sock toe is coolest.

It is too small. It is 20mm tall and I think it should be 25mm. Well that is how tall I made mine.

airair did a really good write up in the HC thread. I've quoted him here because it is worth the read.

You don't really need to do anything complicated for this sock toe.

Its basically use a hair dryer or some heat source.
Use heat all around the toe area so it unglues as best as possible.
Then you can use a flat screwdriver or whatever you want to pry the toe area away from the grey soles.

Once you've done that, you simply need to remove the grey fabric from the pink cardboard, and unstitch the grey fabric.

You will see that the grey fabric is tightly glued together, but if you steam iron the fabric or use a hairdryer, the hard/flexible piece thats in the toebox goes soft.

You can seperate the two grey layers of fabric for the toebox and if its still warm, the hard/flexible piece thats in there should be soft and easily removed or peeled off.

You can then either leave the 1mm foam fabric thats glued to the layers of grey fabric if you want ultra thin sock. Or you can just leave it.

Either way, you will have grey fabric thats much more stretchier than if you leave that toebox/flexible piece in there.

You can then cut off however much excess you want and glue the grey fabric back. The key is not to cut too much off as you don't want to stretch the grey fabric too much before glueing back.

I've seen numerous toebox modifications where the grey fabric is abnormally stretched, and the grey soles are sort of pulled back after being glued.
I always push the grey soles forward, and let the grey fabric be loose enough so that it easily glues to the grey soles without distortion.

Alternatively, you can just steam iron and have some muffin top. On larger sizes, muffin top is less noticeable so might be more acceptable if you don't or can't be bothered taking it apart.

20mm or 3/4" tall. I think these need to be 25mm or 1" tall.

Since making my Heel Cup larger and reduceing the height of the back of the mid-sole, I had to make a custom set out of green rubber letter and cut them by hand, so why they appear a bit rough. I like the MAG, but not really happy with the NIKE. I'll correct that soon.

I was hoping MPs were this size, but they are not. They seem to be the same size as those on the V2s.

Apparently some types (yet to find out which one) of silicones expand when placed in Kerosene, so it would be neat to paint silicone on the V2 letters in really thin layers and build it up (like the guys that make fibre glass mother molds do) then peel off the now thinker layer and place in the Kero. It is said it expands up to 20%. You then take a cast, re-mold and repeat until you reach the size you want. There was a YouTube video where some guys took a mold of a dragonfly and "grey it" over stages to be 15x the original size and did not lose any detail.
