Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

All that stitching! Ugh!

I think I want to right these off and won't even bother ordering a pair. Looking at stills from the video and the top of the laces seems to taper down like the older PVC V1 MAG. What were they thinking?

It looks like the best bits are the box and the little tag inside the shoe that say BTTF2.

Well they have made the uppers worse than the V2. These are like cartoonish shoes. The V2 branded knockoff looks like a masterpiece in comparison.

Everything they have done, the visible stitching, and just cartoonish look was obviously asked for by halloween costumes or fun.com whatever they are called.

Now i've just ordered some new samples which I will be getting in a couple of weeks whereby i've asked them to make brand new uppers based on images, templates i've provided them, including clear descriptions on how to do it.

I will wait and see how these samples turn out, but hopefully they can come out good. I've requested a lot of changes so i'm hoping for the best.

Can't wait to see what they send you!

I decided to order some from Karin. If I'm going to spend the money, I might as well do it right. It'll save me from having to do some modding later, if nothing else.

Lets hope some good comes of this.

Smart choice. You'll still have to mod, but at least the base shoe is going to look good from the start.

you will get the same crappy shoes that they are selling. They would not change production based on your request.

Why do people do reviews that know nothing about the product? Its frustrating. But good that people are getting into bttf still

Sorry you didn't like my review brother. It was a quick fun unboxing video to show what the shoes looked like.

Why do people have their font 5 times bigger than anyone else?

haha didnt realize it came up so much larger. I use my phone 99% of the time when coming to the rpf, so when I dont change the size the text looks really small compared to other posts hense why I make it larger

Wrong, I have directly asked the factory to make brand new uppers based on a new template, so they are making samples for me which i will receive in a couple of weeks hopefully.

As to whether they follow the template correctly remains to be seen and you could be right, they may make a crappy attempt, but Yes, they will change production for me, because to them I am a buyer willing to purchase a few hundred or thousand pairs of these unbranded knockoffs.

If i wanted to, I can buy as many of these unbranded knockoffs as they currently are for dirt cheap (I won't say how much, but when i mean dirt cheap, i mean dirt cheap), but I will be required to order at least 500 to 1000 pairs.

I was told there is no cost for changing the way the uppers look, which is why i've asked for new uppers to be made. I'm sure a better pair of uppers is more acceptable than that current trash they've made.

If I am not happy with the samples, then obviously I won't buy, but i've sent clear templates of the uppers and explained how thick they should be at the top, the triangular cutouts, and the removal of bulging lace ribs, and big toecap.

The factory thats making this is a proper shoe factory so I'm optimistic they can make a 1:1 copy of the uppers. The bottom will be the same as changing anything means having to open a brand new mould for the soles in each different size.

If you can pull this off ill be buying a pair. And im sure it wont be too difficult to sell the minimum required to order

It's cool. I've been doing YouTube for a while, use to all types of comments. On another note, I had no idea people were so passionate about the Mag. It's pretty cool actually. Got me thinking tho - if HalloweenCostumes can sell theirs for $100, the Chinese replicas seem to be overpriced at $250.

:popcorn Good stuff airair. So slimming the toe or removing the toe box? What about the strap? I take it no stitching but will there be an area or impression for the logo?

Rub it in why don't ya :p Yeah, yeah we know we've been taken for a price ride here, but we have also had them for 2 years when you see the ones we have, you know why we paid the extra :lol

I'm not rubbing it in, just an observation. The V2s (I think that's what you guys call them) are way nicer than the HC pairs by far. I'd love to have a pair of those replicas even without the modifications. I don't think I'll pay $250 for them tho. Maybe if they drop the price a bit.

That is why there was a :p in that post.

The $250 price point has been a bit of stick in the mud, especially when the shoes hit the websites for less than $110USD back in 2012.

We consider that given these shoes are much closer to the Real Deal MAG, it is an OK price to pay considering the price of the RDs are into the thousands. Of course we'd jump at the chance to pay less. Who wouldn't? One seller apparently did these V2s for $209USD recently.

The V2 is far superior to these new shoes, so slightly disappointed that the "licensed" shoe is so far off because the tag and the box looks cool.

These belong to Jedifyfe where the one on the left is the real 2011 NIKE MAG and the shoe on the right is his modded V2. Both are the same size. So it goes to show that with some work, the V2s can look good.

To get these new shoes close to this level would require a lot of work, starting with replacing the strap. Then there is nothing that can be done about the extra puffy cuff. For those that don't know, ignorance is bliss, but yeah, we have studied these shoes. The V2 is still not perfect but it means we've got MAGs on our feet.
