he's put a lot of work into replacing the sole and all sorts of stuff.
Have a read of these mag threads and see how much work some people will do for them. It might take a while, haha!

I'll admit I've been lazy and only done a toe slim using heat haha
There's a light strap mod thread on the RPF, just search for 'nike mag' and it comes up. that might be the way to go to begin with for you since the seller already has the necessary parts that work together (i.e. you won't blow up your light by inputting the wrong voltage to it)

I added this to the V2 thread, but I thought it would be good information for both current and new owners so may as well add it here too! Latest update is that I've now managed to get over 11 hours from these batteries and they're still going, although the EL is now finally starting to dim a little.



Guys and gals, I've got a HUGE battery win for you all. I've found some batteries that are primarily used in paintball guns, and are 1,100mAh!

I was a bit skeptical, but I can confirm that I now get around 10 hours out of just two 9v batteries! :thumbsup :cheers

* After 6 hours, the green LEDs begin to dim, and by 6 hours 30mins, they're just about out. The yellows and reds still going strong.

* About an hour later, the yellow LEDs begin to dim more and go out around the 7 hours 30mins mark. (I missed the photo but this was shortly before).

* About an hour after that, the red LEDs are still just about hanging on and go out around 8 hours 30mins. (Red are barely on here, but camera is poop so you can't tell).

My testing finished here as I didn't have enough time over the weekend to monitor the next bit,but from previous knowledge, the EL lasts about an hour or so after all the LEDs are out, but perhaps a bit more with these beauties. I'll finish the testing tonight, but given that the EL panels are still just as bright as when I first powered them on, I'd guess they will get to the 10 hour mark.

The best thing too? They're only £1.85 each from Amazon (have to order at least £10s worth to get super saver delivery) but that's a damn bargain and will ALWAYS beat naff rechargeable ones.

Hi all! Newbie here. Just seen another newbie basically ask what I wanted to in another thread.I have a few more quesitons i'd be grateful for some help. From reading these forums I found what I thought to be Karin Chen's aliexpress store here: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/106587

It now looks like this is the real Karin Chen store: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/708573 with her mag listing here:http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-S...721132715.html

Am I correct or is the first one her as well? I ordered yesterday but Aliexpress bounced my order awaiting verification. I've provided the verification and am then going to wait till Oct 7th when they can no longer claim the outstanding money as the merchant and I will then re-order but I want to order from the most reliable source.

Also I am in the UK are there other UK members who had these clear customs ok? If they don't will she refund me or simply do I lose the cash?

Hmmm... Unless that's just a ploy to nick Karins business? lol. I'd always go with Karin cos she usually gives you some discount if you ask nicely and also specify that you want even splatter paint with no marks on them. Sounds kinda obvious to us, but not to them.

Yea, I think so. She MAY fall soft and send you another pair, but it's not really her fault if they're arses. That's a battle you'd need to take up with her IF it happens. I think you'll be fine though. One thing I STRONGLY advise, don't get them delivered to a commercial address. They're far more likely to be checked as they'll see bigger £££ on those

I can't see why they bother though to be honest, it's just fans doing what they enjoy. If anything, we're walking advertisements for Nike and the BTTF trilogy.
