For this project i will be using 12 volt batteries with 3 day battery life plus its rechargeable input DC12.6v output DC12v1800mAh this will power all L.E.D.s and the E.L sheet plus its rechargeable i will post pics today of progress .... and to answer your questions about the el nike strap i used the mini converter 3 volt with 2 LIR2032 batteries this mini 3 volt mini converter dose not power all lights....... the converter is to small.......... If you can please look up (classic mini pipsqueak) driver at SeattleLumin.com. this will power all of your electronics trust me and it is a very small unit but powerful.

p.s. Brad, where do you get your wire tape from to run the power from the inverter to the EL panel itself (is that what it's called? :confused)

What do I search for? Tried EL wire tape and other things. It's just the small pos/neg track tape so that it fits nicely in the strap like you did originally, or was it one whole stripe or EL that you used originally?

Cool, got some 5mm thick stuff. I have read that you need shrink tubing and cutters?! I would imagine you could solder directly onto this tape and then simply glue it to one side of the split strap, correct?

Cheers for sharing that mate, very useful :thumbsup I reckon we should see if we can find somone to have these made with thick blast plastic. Anyone got the kit to do this?
There are many things to use Avery clear printing paper or model decal clear sheets that you can print on i recommend that you run it threw 3 times for the dark black to hold its color and it makes the logo look brighter plus you should laminate it to make it stronger and water proof and it gives it that factory look besides using clear tape i don't recommend that.

Just want to add and no one has to do this as well but what I did with the logo was thickened the line between the N and the I. Not by much, was just so the letters were more prominent. Also I took a sharpie pen to the black areas, don't get me wrong te blacks from the laser printer were good enough just I wanted it to be really dark so the letters stand out ALOT more.
No one has to do this but thought I would state it.
