Hello all!
I'm Eduardo and i'm very glad to finally be a member of this great community. I'm a fan of Ray Harryhausen's work and sci-fi and horror movies, specially George Romero.

Hi all, im Tony from NJ. Ive referenced this site for years and decided to finally join. Im a fossil prepper and artist by trade and a prop builder on the side. This has been for the last 18 years. Im a perfectionist when it comes to my art. I have been gathering research for the past 7 years on making a indiana jones grail diary exactly like the main prop from the movie. (I have made several already) i have studied the original handwritting, design size etc. i dont believe in printing or tracing and do all my work freehand. I am currently making the chalice of Kali as i was not impressed by sideshows version. It was a bit small i think and too gorey. Lets see... I have made notional treasure props. I love making curiousities. Anything strange and unusal. 17/18th century vampire killing kits, relics, rouge taxidermy, macrabe etc. the list goes on. Im looking forward to reading all the threads you guys have discussed over the years about projects i may have in the works or have done and learning more.

Finally deiced to get some of my projects going (the kids are bigger now and I have a bit more free time).
I've been a professional model maker for 14 years now. Mostly architectural models. Generally make silly fun thing, nothing too big due to the lack of free time.
Some examples of the little side projects http://www.thingiverse.com/Quint89/designs (there's a pattern of making things for the kids).
Finally deiced to get some of my projects going (the kids are bigger now and I have a bit more free time).

I'm very thankful to live in a time where this kind of resource is available to connect the most skilled craftspeople with the most novice, thirsting for a glimpse of what can be made and how it can be made. I am in the latter camp for the most part. I came across this forum inadvertently, while looking into space suit replicas and was elated to find how many learnest costume, prop and replica makers there are out there. And their willingness to share what they've done and how they've done it, takes some of the 'error' out of the 'trial and error.'
I look forward to learning from others on this forum and, hopefully, at some point, share what I've figured out with someone else.

Hey there guys, the name's Wrench. I've been meaning to sign up for the RPF for a whIle now, and I finally got around to it. I'm 19, and I'm a small graphic designer on Twitter, and I've been hoping to get into cosplay and make some quality costumes. I definitely want to be able to tackle the task of bringing the character 'Wrench' from Watch_Dogs 2 to life. I've been searching through a lot of threads on how to make an LED visor, similar to something from Daft Punk, but more like how the goggles in my profile picture look. Hopefully I'll be able to find someone to guide me through this process and I'll be able to complete the build before Fan Expo Canada in September.

I've been working on plastic models and kits for a long time and I tinker with electronics occasionally as well. Just started with 3D printing.
Mostly I build stuff for my Stargate cosplays. I'm a member of the Nordic Reel Icons, the non-Star Wars section of the Nordic Legion.

WOW...I believe I have found my Mecca...
I found out about this place whilst trying to build a Stormtrooper costume, and more recently when I discovered the wonders of Pepakura, for which these boards seem to be a treasure trove of priceless information...I'm currently looking to put together a Rocketeer build, and the advice and ideas around here are just fascinating!
Been floating around here pretty much endlessly for weeks now, I'm completely hooked on the enthusiasm this place generates, and you're all to blame!

So to introduce, I have been into props and costumes almost 100% SW for about 15 years now. I have been a longtime member of the 501st and Rebel Legion as well as the TDH. I have not been super active on those forums mainly due to not being on the computer much at home. But, now I have tapatalk and I can get on much more. I am excited to finally join the RPF and learn and enjoy the community I have heard so much about. And hopefully I can contribute here and there. I troop as ESB Boba, snowspeeder luke or wedge, and am working on resistance and pilot versions of Poe. See you on the boards.
