Hello, my name is Bond... Er... I mean Chris. I am really into helmets, guns, and a general all around Sci-Fi nut. By that I mean nut! Particularly Blade Runner, Star Wars, and Judge Dredd. I am a lifelong comic collector. It is what led me to Art School and a job at Disney... Um, damn... I mean carpentry followed not so swiftly by going back to school for applied science. Well let's get to it then!

Hi everyone!

I have been hovering around the RPF for a while now, always reading the threads as a guest, but have finally gotten down to registering!

Was cued onto the RPF by the great folks at Tested.com, and haven't turned back since! big fan of Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, and science-fiction in general, so when I discovered that I could bring some of those objects I see/read in those mediums to life, I was hooked.

Looking forward to seeing more and learning more from the great makers and builders in this forum.

By the way, any fellow RPFers from Singapore??

Cheers!

Sorry, may have accidentally posted in a thread before this one! I'm from Canada and also learned about RPF from Adam Savage and Tested.com. I got involved with a research project at my university which is focused on developing makerspaces. Through that work, I have gotten really into prop-making and making in general, much stronger than I was before. I used to just wait for Halloween to start cobbling together costumes and props but lately I've been making all kinds of things. You guys are a source of constant inspiration (and frustration because you're all so good!) to me.

Greetings! Long time lurker, first time poster. I first used the RPF on my Arrow costume a couple years ago, and now I'm finding a wealth of information for my attempt at making all 4 of Nathan Drake's outfits from the Uncharted games. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but that often gets overruled by my poor motivation and lack of funds.

Hey everyone,
My name is Lukas and I just found out about this site through asking Frank Ippolito on Twitter about how to get into more professional sculpting. I´ve done some small sculpts mostly Dark Souls stuff or gaming in general. I love sculpting and I´d like to get better at it. My dream is to become a Prop Artist one day but I still need to learn a lot. So I´d be very happy if you could give me some feedback and tips on how to get better :D
Here are some of my Sculpts:

Hey guys & girls,

New to this forum, looking forward to seeing great stuff and chatting with great people. Have been a collector for years but have never really gotten around to joining forums and sharing stuff. Tried a few years ago but forgot my password and pretty much gave up on the joining of forums ever since. Pretty tech tarded too so i would lose my #### if i couldn't upload a pic. A lot better with tech now, still partial tarded with it though...

Anyways, this is me saying hey ✌

Yo.

I'm LazyDreamer, a cosplayer from the West Coast of Canada. I have always loved armor and cosplay and I figured, might as well start learning how to armor. A friend introduced me to this site and I've browsed a bit and why, there is so much resources available here.

My costume I'm making is Young Justice Blue Beetle. pretty bloody ambitious for a first armor. My dream list is as follows:

Maria - Metropolis
Megabyte - ReBoot
Marcus/Dom - Gears of War
Yue Jin - Dynasty Warriors

There's a few more, but those are the main four.

Glad to meet you all!!

Been creeping for years on the RPF and have decided its time to make an account, ask questions, and share my work. The first prop attempted was the Jurassic Park Shaving Cream Can when I was 10. The most recent prop I made was from Harry Potter - Luna's Second Wand.

Hi, been a long time lurker, finally decided to sign up as I'm about to mod a Rubies Vader helmet and wanted to discuss options with members who have been through it before.

I've got a small Star Wars collection comprising of a Doopydoos E-11 which I modded quite heavily, an ATA Stormtrooper helmet, and 2005 and 2007 MR Vader Lightsabers that I've stripped down to remove the blades. Will be looking to add to this in the future.

Hi All,
Yet another newbie member here, found this by searching for Bourne burn bag contents, then found all the great posts by savage and the gang ( had no idea he was on here...cool), I'm a mechanical engineer and machinist looking to get into fixing up my little collection of replicas and models with all the fantastic knowledge pool here.

My current obsession is Gerry Anderson's UFO tv show from the 70's, specifically the earth based Shado Mobiles, not huge on the puppet stuff but love the space 1999 and UFO vehicles and techno props.

Cheers all

Hi, found this site looking for info on mold making. I will be making a full body silicone mermaid tail prosthetic, I've never worked with these materials before and any help would make you my new best friend!

I'm a circus performer and collector of oddities. I'm expanding my skills to becoming a mermaid performer, I'd like to eventually make a feejee monkey mermaid mask to wear for my act. Maybe after I get the hang of this stuff I can start making some fun projects.

Hi All!

My name is Daniel, & I live in the UK. I'm a keen collector of movie & TV props, & collectables. I want to get into making my own replica props.

Hey everybody, the names Ashley and I'm glad to be apart of the community and love the work on here. I'm a sculpture artist that dabbles in a little bit of everything and I'll try to keep up on posting the projects I tackle.

Hello, my name is Stuart and I found this forum though Tested.com. I have been making Sci-Fi props for many years, most recently using 3D printing. These objects have been mostly for my own nerdy enjoyment although recently I have been trying my hand at more serious cosplay. You can find some of my designs on Thingiverse.

IRL I am a software engineer and one of the main people behind the MODO 3D modeling application. I use MODO for all of my 3D design work.

Hi my name is Alex, I'm from Argentina and I've been following this site since I can't remeber! Anyway the last couple of years I've been doing a lot of stuff so I tought it was time to "introduce me" in the community HAHA. One of the things that I do most is characterize myself as The Joker. All I could do, I do, I'm talking about the makeup, hair, costume, etc, and I love to do this things, bring back to life the characters we love. I do it like some kind of tribute to all that great artists. So, let me share some of my works here, thank you so much!!!

HI.

I'm Zach, I've been making props for about 6 years now. My favorite TV shows and movies are Firefly, Warehouse 13, Star Wars, Serenity, Doctor Who, Star Trek Voyager, BTTF and some other things, but that will give you an idea of what props I make. (Firefly is my favorite) As far as games go, Halo CE, 2 and 3 are my favorite Halo games, I like Portal, Mirror's Edge and more. I like the items from those games the best.

Hi, I'm Matt. I'm from Germany and completely new in the costume and prop design area. My fields of interest are Masters of the Universe, Mega Man and some select few Marvel and DC characters. So those are the threads where I'll be lurking and posting most. ;)
