Hello all! I've been lurking on-and-off for a few months; it's good to be official now.

A few personal details: I've been reading SF for years (long enough to remember Ace Doubles), and building, modifying, and fixing stuff for almost as long. I live near Atlanta, GA with two kids, two dogs, two cats, two chickens . . . but only one wife. I shoot archery with SCA, and occasionally paddle the Chattahoochee.

It's a pleasure to be here! I have learned lots so far.

G'day all
Wat can I say... This site is amazing I wish I had seen it yrs ago
Some very amazing builds I've seen so far from jawa ion cannons to millenium falcon cockpits ( yes I'm a starwars fan) I myself prefer to build my own props from movies since about 2001 love building nothing exciting to the masters here I'm sure but home made :)
Harry potter, lord of the rings, Conan, starwars weapons etc
I built an ancient Egyptian board game once for jokes and turned out myself and anyone else I showed couldn't stop playing it was awesome lol ( senet )
I'm part or the 501st so love the prop scene haven't tackled anything large as yet due to lack of time really and I love to use things that cost nothing but some projects don't allow for that
But thanks for accepting my request to join and hopefully we shall chat soon
Vince

Hello Everyone,
I am a maker at heart and am trying to instill the love of making in my teaching. I am mostly building things around the house, but I am working on learning electronics. I have lots of projects on my list but just need more time to build them.
I am currently working with middle school students and getting them to appreciate making as much as I do.

Haven't built anything myself yet due to no "shop". Love movie props and costumes! just getting into Cosplay with the Mrs.

Originally from Scotland and now here in VA permanently! hope to find some cool stuff here!

Hello, I'm not new to sewing or basic crafting. I'm okay with a dremel and my pattern making is getting better. But I'm expanding my skill set, which means working with new materials. I don't have experience with casting or molding so I can't wait to learn, and I haven't made armor before. This is all a learning experience. For my first attempt I'm looking at making an Arcade Miss Fortune gun set. I'll see how it goes. I really want to learn about wiring so I can start using LEDs in my props.

Hi!

I'm pretty new to costume making but I've always been interested in making stuff. Sooo here I am, making costumes. I'm interested in all sorts of characters but my first project is a Doctor Doom costume. Ive put up a thread about it here!

Hey guys, names mattwarden. Browsed this forum for years, as i have made props for all my obsessions, usually (but not limited to) DC characters.cant wait to get involved!

Hello, stumbled across this website while searching the web for a half decent snake eyes costume. Tired of the box store outfits I was delighted to see Maulfett's kit as well as many members who decided to take on the task of building their own replicas. Anyways... put my order in and cannot wait to put mine together. Great resource website. Keep up the great work!

Hello :)
I'm Colleen and I wish I found this site like a million years ago. Seriously, I feel like I'm surrounded by The Gods here! I love cosplay and have always admired cosplayers BUT have never really cosplayed myself. Only once did I cosplay as Rikku from FFX-2 and it was a hit! So now I'm taking my cosplaying to a whole new level and Im trying to learn how to use Worbla. IM SO SCARED. I've been creeping, lurking, and watching endless tutorials via Youtube.
SO IF ANYONE CANGIVE ME TIPS AND POINTER PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME!
I'm currently making a Queen Zelda cosplay (Hyrule Warriors) for Anime North here in Canada (May 2015) and Im making a Khaleesi Qarth outfit for this Halloween! Which I need help with and I will be posting shortly :)

Message me any time! Good luck and have fun fellow cosplayers!

xoxo

Hello,

My name is Heather & I consider myself a geek of many trades. I've always loved being creative & making things I couldn't find or if felt I could make something better than what was available to buy. I mainly work with wood, fabric, & leather but can branch out into other mediums when a project calls for it. Halloween is my favorite time of year because I can really let my creativity fly when I help decorate my friends' house for our annual Halloween party.

Hi people of the forum. My name is Joshua but I prefer to be called Miles. I'm 14 and from New Jersey. I'm into the Marvel universe more over DC. Spider-Man is my favorite hero :) So yeah.

Rise!

Hello!
I'm new as a member to RPF though I've visited many times.
My wife and I have done various sorts of costuming for at least 10-15 years. I'm not an incredible fabricator but we usually put together some decent looking stuff - thanks to forums such as this one for tips and tutorials.

Mostly into Star Wars (I'm Darinus with Rebel Legion and have a dark Jedi character with The Dark Alliance), Fallout, Destiny, Mass Effect, Medieval/Renaissance/LOTR, and as my name implies Blade Runner.

Hope to get to know more of you in the near future!

Hello everyone! We here at Predator Props are just starting to get the wheels turning on our own small prop-shop out here in York, PA! The three of us have been crafting, tinkering, building, creating, and everything in between for years, and only recently have decided to try to break out of the hum-drum daily grind, and try to do this for a living. Cheers!

Hey guys,
Been lurking around for a couple of years, but never posted, so my account got deleted or something.
I live in eastern Europe so my access to cool props is severely limited at best though I happen to work in a workshop that is as good as it gets when it comes to materials and machines, so from time to time I try my hand at different costumes and props. Without aiming for too much movie accuracy I have already made a Boba Fett costume as well as a Judge Dredd, but now I want to step it up a bit and possibly go for 501st or Mando Mercs approval with a Stormtrooper or Boba Fett / custom mando.

Could any of you guys please help me?!? I really want to build a Iron man mark 6 suit out of foam, but I've got a mac. I've downloaded the stealth files that are pdf versions but they look a little small when i print them out. Im 5"10 and medium build. Has anyone had any experience with these files?? or could someone who's in the know check them out for me and let me know please. I'm also a bit confused by the numbers on the shapes I don't get how they match up?! Sorry if this isn't the place to post this I'm a complete noob at this. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to be able to have this ready for Halloween.
