Hello everyone, I'm a 19 year old kid who loves cosplay. Everything from seeing other cosplays do seeing how other people did their own props. I find it pretty cool. The only cosplay i've ever done is a 7'0 tall slenderman.

Hi!
One day I found this awesome czech metal band called Dymytry. I listend to them for a while and suddanly thougt: "That masks are awesome. I think I should make one myself." So i watched a lot of tutorials. I more and more got the feeling that it would be awesome to not just make a mask but really start cosplaying and making props. And then one day found Chinbeard's YT channel and that was the point.... you know..... It's all his fault that I'm now here...
I haven't got much experiance. I only once made a creeperhead out of styrofoam and black cloth, soooo.... I hope I will learn a lot.

Hello everyone!
I was searching ways to build a Deathstroke costume yesterday as I just started my first build and stumbled upon this site. There are a LOT of great builds on here and I've seen some great advice given as well. I'm glad to be a part of what seems to be an awesome community and can't wait to see all of the great work!!

Hiiiii,

My name is Nora.
I'm an artist in LA.
Been lurking around the forum recently after googling some stuff for a new project. Figured I might as well join!

Hi everybody,

thanks for allowing me to be a part of this great community.
I've been a Spider-man/Marvel fan since I was about 5.I got hooked on saturday morning cartoons such as X-men, Spider-man,Spider-man and his amazing friends.During high school I was always drawing Spider-man and started collecting comic books, and lateron I became a Super hero movie/Anime enthusiast.

Since a few years, something more than merely being a spectator of Fandom started to stir inside,as I watched videos on youtube about Comic Cons and people that had crafted their favorite character.I had never heard of events such as these where you could dress up somewhere and just 'be fans together' for a day;it was refreshing. It was during one of many searches for information that I found the RPF forum and kept visiting.

I am looking forward to learning everything about cosplay through workshops starting October/November this year, and hopefully starting my own projects soon.My preferrence would be the Spider-man villain costumes.

Last but not least: many thanks to those who designed and released the templates for masks and armored suits for fans to create.

Hi folks,

my buddy Steve who is a user on here linked me to the site. Looking to expand my Back to the Future collection - huge fan of the films and in general a big film buff. Majorly into the behind-the-scenes aspect. Currently studying Film & TV Production [focusing mainly of documentary filmmaking].

Anyways, thought I'd say 'Hi' and that I love what I've seen so far. Some extremely creative people on here, with fantastic skills and I'm looking forward to being a part of such a great community.

All the best

Hi everyone! Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. Real name is Tamara. I'm a long time visitor but just recently registered. I'm a huge fan of just about every craft you can imagine, so the idea of building costumes is fantastic, as it combines them all. I've just opened a comic books and collectibles store and will be not only hosting classes on cosplay building but also running contests and hopefully sponsoring a group to go to cons. Look forward to chatting with everyone! I think that's about it =)

Greetings and salutations, I am a big movie fan and a lover of special effects and stop-motion/Dynamation/Go-Motion. I came across this site trying to find info on the Astronaut puppet prop they found on the Rocket Man episode of American Pickers. Once I found the thread dedicated to the T-800 puppet from Terminator I had to join and see more. I'm a big collector of 1/6 figures like Hot Toys, Medicom and Sideshow Collectibles.

Hello, all! I've been following the facebook page and group for a while and frequent the forums here but I just never made an account. Finally did, obviously, and hope to be posting my attempts at prop making here. I cosplay but I have the most fun making props.

Hello everyone,
My name is Lillian. I've been browsing through different forums for a while now and decided to make an account and see the different creativity out there. I think this is a very useful site. I am a self taught artist and can do different art. I have mostly been exploring in what I can actually do in terms of artwork. I made an iron man costume last year seeing how in the third iron man movie pepper puts the suit on lol and I may possibly share it sometime. I would definitely approach the suit differently now knowing the different items I could use. I have a new project in the works and will possibly be sharing that. I am glad there is a community of amazing artists in here and hope to learn some new things as I go along.

A pinterest costume photo brought me to your site, I am just starting to get into some costume sewing. While not that great I am glad to have found your site to find inspiration and maybe one day add a photo of my own for a costume made, so far it's just been clothing patterns for myself or my little one!

Hello!

Shame on me for not finding this place or this culture sooner....much, much sooner!

So much creativity in here, I hope we can all inspire each other to keep progressing and taking our craft to the next level!

Hello!

I've been costuming for a couple years, but I'm just starting to get into more advanced stuff and prop making- some of my first efforts are on Instructables, like Mjolnir and a planbook from The Adjustment Bureau. I've been lurking around for a while looking at different ideas for my big project for next year (Star-Lord), so I figured it was just time to suck it up and make an account!

Hey all!!

I joined a couple days ago, and first post here! I've been a long time lurker however, always finding inspiration from you guys on crafting props and love all of the amazing things you guys post!

as you can tell, my current obsession is BATMAN, I even drive a black 2001 Chevy Blazer decked out in HUGE yellow Batman logos on every side and even on the windows and hood. Haha. I'm like my town's own version of a masked vigilante per say. people do double takes everywhere I go, even had a lady match me speed for speed at 10:30pm one night and started snapping photos of my truck with the Flash on :p

I also collect numerous other prop helmets from Star Wars and love creating things with my mind and hands. and hope to post some of my collection on here soon!

Oh man, what did I find here? This is AWESOME!!!

I um, like collecting things- started with designer toys like coarsetoys and gloomy, dunny type stuff... but I'm a super Star Trek fan. I'm watching ds9 right now matter of fact...

Which brings me to why I'm here... I started off loving Klingons.. and I want a Bat'leth to mount in my living room.

And I want a Grand Nagus staff. Saw the original sold for more than a thousand. But I never see anything close to a replica.

If you guys can make me something... I'd pay a fair price. I'm new, so I don't know the rules of this site.. but keep in touch please!

Oh and I draw- btw like designs, and graffiti type stuff... if anyone needs it.

hello,

i randomly came across this site through www.GBfans.com and am impressed with the site and the looks of the community. i am a novice prop builder, mainly focusing on my own Ghostbusters items (did my username give it away?). i'm hoping i can be a contributing member of the site and pull off of the collective knowledge that's on the boards!

i love seeing fan creations/work for the franchises they love. it's the best part of events like ComicCons!

How's it going guys? Last year was my first year dressing up for comic con, and I want to step it up a little! I looke foward to talking to you talented people and maybe even getting some help from you! Hope you guys are having a good day!

Big Blade Runner fan and general sci-fi nut. Got my first Tomenosuke Blaster today.

Collect posters, screen prints, figures and props. Browsed for years. Finally joined a few weeks back.
