Hi All,

Thanks for letting me be a part of this great community - where else can someone get so much free advice all in one place?

Hopefully, I can provide advice in return. You only have to ask. If I have something constructive to say, I will share it.

Art/Design, technical drawing and electronics has always been a part of my life, both as a hobbyist and in a professional capacity at one time.

Look forward to talking with you all soon.

Greetings! I'm not sure if I've introduced myself yet, so I'm just gonna go ahead anyway. My name is The14thDr ane I make YouTube videos. I also make props from various TV shows and vodeo games, namely Doctor Who and Star Wars. At the moment I'm working on a competition to design a new robot for my Star Wars Battlefront series. (The thread for that is over here: www.therpf.com/f9/robot-companion-competition-215380/) Feel free to enter your designs, no matter how basic.

I also like to use cardboard in all my other projects.

And now I bid good day to you all.

I am a art student trying to get a degree in animation. my first time making a custom prop was last Halloween I was jack frost from rise of the guardian and I made his staff. I want to make something bigger and better this Halloween for my schools cosplay contest.

Hello all,

I'm a newbie and came across the site looking for a replica of the sleeping dumbledore portrait. I found one here from a user that was gorgeous. After that, I knew I wanted to be able to look for and see more. Excited to get my geek on.

Hey Everyone, my name is WebHead1985 and I'm new to the RPF, I'm so excited to be part of this message board to learn all about costuming and props and to make some friends.

Hello everyone! My name is Cole and I build props, set pieces and costume pieces. I first discovered you on my Facebook feed. I looking forward to meeting you and collaborating in prop making.

Hi folks,

My name is Ian. I built a number of costumes when I was (much) younger and decided that building costumes that were of better quality would be a great hobby now that I'm all grown up. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted a Dalek from Doctor Who so my first project was Dalek Clifton who I built with the help from the Project Dalek forum. I've taken him to a number of conventions in Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Ottawa.

I'm now working on a "Nightmare in Silver" Cyberman and have already found a lot of useful information in this forum. Once I figure out the do's and don'ts of the forum, I'll try to post some more about the build.

Thanks to the people who make this forum possible. Without you, it would be much harder for a lot of people to have fun building props and costumes.

Hi guys, i dont pretend to be as talented or even close to the other guys on this site. I just save up my $$'s and pay for the best quality costumes i can get made. In the hope it'll bring smiles to little faces :)uploadfromtaptalk1402343170810.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402343199182.jpg

Greetings all, the name's Mowsel. I've been costuming for a couple years now, and have been loving every minute of it. I decided to sign up here to pick up some new tricks of the trade and maybe share a few of my own :) I have mostly stuck with my Mandalorian builds in the past, but i feel like it's really time to start branching out a bit more and start some of the different projects I've got lined up. Can't wait to get on it, and definitely can't wait to meet up with my fellow costumers!!!

Hello, I'm newish to the prop building community. but I have been interested in prop building and cosplay for a couple of years now. I am a fan of the Mass Effect trilagy, and I am working on a M77 Paladin and N7 armor (I will post more about them once I have completed more of the builds; I'm in the vary early stages now).

Hi, All! I'm a newbie cosplayer and obsessed with all things makeup (beauty, effects/horror) and want to up my game. I am interested in growing my knowledge of sculpture/molding/casting, mostly for prop building and prosthetic creation.

I'm looking very much forward to learning from the obscenely talented folks around here and contributing what I can!

Greetings Folks,

I wouldn't say I am new to the world of costuming. My friends and I have been dressing up for movies since we were in high school. Our first big outing was X-men 3. The years that followed were great. We took every opportunity to dress up for movies just because it was so much fun. Mind you our costumes mainly consisted of things we could find at Goodwill and spray paint if needed. Then the Dark Knight came, and my buddy shows up in a custom made Joker suit with the face paint and hair dye and everything. That launched a new age of costumes for us. Still as low income college kids, we didn't use it much. But the big one was Avengers. 5 of us dressed up in what we could call some of our best yet. Thor, Cap, Hulk, Widow, and we even pulled a Miss Marvel (Flounders girlfriend didn't want to be Hawkeye...), and we had some good costumes. Then we found this stuff. And decided that we could set down the video games a few times a week and actually accomplish something worth while. Thus our birth into the real world of costuming, and my registration here, where I have lurked for a few months researching what will be my first project, a foam Warmachine suit to compliment my buddy's Ironman (the Joker buddy), cause really what's a Ironman without a Warmachine anyway.

So after the long winded hello, here is the short version. Greetings Folks, I look forward to learning from you and making this world a little more awesome. Thanks for everything you have already taught me, and everything I still have to learn.

Hi I'm Tony! I'm an Irish director/screenwriter and have done web series, short films, and work on multiple features. I'm starting my first feature soon and am looking to do one last short film before it... a Batman Beyond short action film. This is what brought me here. I've already bought material for the costume and will be looking to do the cowl soon. Hope to be a positive part of the community!

Hi. I am new to the RPF. I have been making easy costumes for a few years now and last year I decided to step up my game. I already know how to sew. I wanted to join so I could find tips on the aspects of costume and prop making.

You know, for the life of me I can't remember if I introduced myself here or not. So I will again, can't hurt.
HELLO!
I'm a lurker. Thats how I found this. Lurking about the interwebs and admiring everyone else's work. (Drooling over the work is more like it.)
I finally decided to try my hand at making things from scratch.
Anyone from the GBprops board may have seen my miniature proton packs I've been working on. I'm mainly focusing on making miniature models of random props that pop into my head. Once day I'll graduate to bigger things.

Aside from finally getting back into modelling since childhood, I'm by day, an actor living and working in NY. Stage mostly. And that's about it for me I suppose.
